We had so much fun working with one of our students, Dalonda, to get ready to start classes at Tacoma Community College this quarter. We explored campus, set up her computer and met up with TCC & FEPPS English Professor Blaine Hunt. Thanks to everyone at TCC for your support!

Students Alyssa and Felicia, and Faculty Director Tanya had an awesome time at the National Conference on Higher Education in Prison in Denver. Alyssa and Felicia have both participated in NCHEP remotely in past years; it was so special for them to be able to attend in person!

Today we are saying goodbye to Morgan Denton, our Education Pathways Program Manager. She has helped many students navigate college options and applications, access financial aid, and get loans out of default. We will miss Morgan’s wisdom, authenticity, and astrological readings!

On June 2 the Washington State Supreme Court will hold a symposium, Behind Bars: Incarceration of Women and Girls of Color. One of the panels will include a presentation of original research that FEPPS co-spearheaded on racial disproportionality in women's incarceration. Join us!

We want to extend a HUGE thank you to the 37 donors who participated in our GiveBIG campaign. As promised, we drew ten names at random from the list of donors to receive a printed copy of the We Own Our Words zine - they're going in the mail today!
