Huge congratulations to Sørby Esport! Sørby Esport has been named one of the three finalists for the 2026 Sports Social Impact Award (Idrættens Sociale Pris), presented by @danmarks_idraetsforbund and the Grundfos Foundation | PDJF. This is a fantastic and well-deserved recognition of the incredible work you do every single day to create strong, inclusive communities for children and young people through gaming and esports. Sørby Esport demonstrates how a shared passion for gaming can open doors to new friendships, volunteering opportunities, and personal development — and for some young people, even become a stepping stone towards education and employment. At Esport Danmark, we also see this nomination as a major recognition of the entire Danish esports club community. The fact that esports now stands alongside traditional Danish sports in the competition for the Sports Social Impact Award is an important acknowledgment of the positive social impact of esports and the many clubs that create communities and new opportunities for children and young people across Denmark every week. A huge congratulations to Sørby Esport, its many volunteers, and everyone whose dedication makes the club’s impressive work possible. We’re cheering you on all the way to Herning!
