Is X premium worht it? And why? Many people have it.

-> Be European -> Go to robotics convenience -> Only see companies with the same (cheap) Unitree and there own logo on it -> Not even running custom policies -> Be disappointed What happened to EU/ACC?! @levelsio weren't you also going into hardware/robotics a while ago?

THEIR* own logo, fuck me. Too cheap EU fck for X premium to edit post

Not too much to update today. Did a few extra train runs but worse results for now. Then decided to add a 24V to 5V buck converter to start setting up LED animations! This is the calibration routine 🚀

Face the truth; humanoid hands with tendons are ngmi (Q)DDs win this any day.

Within the next few months a new Unicorn will show up that will build a (web) app with: - Agentic PCB Design - Agentic CAD - Agentic Software + firmware stack - Agentic Simulation building This is already possible with Astra, fully agentic / automated robotics @sama @thsottiaux

@SamuelBeek Isn't this pretty much what you're building? 🚀

2026 is crazy. I'm looking at SO101 robot arm for testing it on my platform. BUT, I would need another controller, buck conversion for voltage rail, setup a big mess in software to merge my robots 3D model with SO101, and then it suck in the future. So I'll build it myself!

That leg compensation though 🔥🔥🔥 Really improving fast but still too jittery. Might slap on the cover with LEDs for the fun of it 🤖

It’s weekend, but that does not mean building stops! Now definitely getting there… As I type this I have another improved model in training, happy with progress and next hardware addition is going to be fun 🤖🤖

Surprise surprise, 200Hz did not magically take all my problems away. Testing without controller but with keyboard over serial sucks… but have to wait for hardware. New better sim2real train run in progress, improved feedback matching, stronger anti jitter + smooth wheel LPF

Training new net from 50Hz on ESP to 200Hz on Teensy. Should make up for a *major* improvement on stability. And still room to increase 64x64 base net size if needed, but simulation shows this should be big enough already. Video coming soon!

That little spick on the yellow line below the SN65HVD230 is the 120R termination resistor soldered on from factory. But… my motors have 240r’s built in, so o have to remove them from the SN65. Running CAN with 240/3 =80 Ohm bus. Works perfect! 🚀

New legs first test! 🤖 Still on ESP, working on Teensy rewiring and setup as we speak. More to come!

I pushed 1.5 Billion(!) tokens on DeepSeek V4.1 Flash over the past few days. The speed, pricing and automation through DeepSeek harness is MAD.

Teensy 4.1 + 2x SN65HVD CAN modules and BNO086 (IMU) are in. Will replace the ESP32, logic level shifter and MCP2515 while allowing higher policy frequency. Unfortunately no Bluetooth in Teensy so I will probably move to radio controller

I'm contemplating whether putting in extra effort like I did before is worth the hassle. Which robot leg design do you prefer?

Looking for some opinions, I made new legs for the robot (the leg with 4 bolts is new). Which design do you prefer? Poll in next tweet

Designed new iteration (right) for legs. With threaded inserts so with the cover mounted it becomes a torsion box. Still allows cables to go through, printing new covers now. Make it work first, then make it better 💯
