Our resistance shows up in our words, our care for each other, and our determination to keep going. The more they try to silence us, the louder we will be! secure.everyaction.com/auKyO…

This #BannedBooksWeek, we reaffirm our commitment to the freedom to read, think, and imagine. From libraries to federal policies, attempts to remove books threaten intellectual freedom while disproportionately impacting marginalized communities.

At Fund Texas Choice, we know that banning books and banning abortion come from the same playbook of control. This week, we’ll share stories of banned book activism deeply connected to Hispanic Heritage Month. 🌎✊

Today, we honor the life and legacy of Rosie Jiménez. She died in McAllen, Texas, after being denied Medicaid coverage for abortion care and was unable to afford the safe care she needed. Her death reminds us of the very real consequences when people are denied affordable abortion care, especially in light of Texans now having to navigate four abortion bans. In Texas, abortion funds @fronterafund @lilithfund @teafund @janesdueprocess @fundtexaschoice are working to pass Rosie’s Law, which would require all insurance plans to cover abortion and other essential reproductive health care. Access to abortion isn’t just a right; it’s a matter of life and health. Find out how you can help pass Rosie’s Law at zurl.co/K6Jt0.

Gov. Abbott signed HB7 into law — yet another cruel ban aimed at cutting Texans off from abortion care. But we also know that Texans support Texans, and we’re not going anywhere. 👉 Donate today. Fuel the fight for #TexansAbortionForever secure.everyaction.com/MA15e…

"For Latine communities, the compounded impact of anti-immigration laws, surveillance, and the threat of deportation, detention, or forced family separation often makes traveling for abortion care impossible." @FundTexasChoice for @truthout. Read now: nnaf.org/Q

The brutality of our oppressors does not equate to power, and often, is a sign of the frantic weakness. The cruelness and violence of abortion bans shows that they fear a Black, poor, and marginalized masses with full self-determination and bodily autonomy.
Just because a person or even a colony is willing to be outrageously brutal does not mean they are all-powerful. Don't make the mistake of assuming génocidaires are omnipotent. Don't give them that credit or that unearned control.

Happy Monday. Just in case anybody forgot: abortion has and always will exist no matter what our politicians have to say about it.

This should be obvious, but apparently it needs to be said: people should not lose the basic human right to health care when they become pregnant.

PSA: it's the last month of fund-a-thon! and did you hear that all donations will be matched dollar-for-dollar? what better way to support Texans + abortion care 🫶 bit.ly/fund-texas-choice

Medication abortion has been studied for decades and has an OUTSTANDING safety and efficacy record. Any attempt to cut off access to mifepristone ignores science, medicine, and what’s best for reproductive health, according to EVERY reputable expert on the subject.

as if banning abortion in Texas wasn't enough, our politicians are trying to instill a de facto travel ban, come for medication abortion, AND subject anyone who helps to civil liability. HB 5510 is evil and dangerous.

Texas is escalating its attacks on abortion access through three bills that are being heard in the senate today. Abortion funds and allies across Texas stand united against these harmful measures and blatant disregard for our bodily autonomy. 📢
