Wife: “We’ll figure it out.” Husband: “With what money?” Wife: “We’ll cut something.” Husband: “That’s easy for you to say.” Wife: “What does that mean?” Husband: “You’re the one who works from home.” Wife: “So?” Husband: “So you can watch her.” Wife: “While working?” Husband: “People do it all the time.” Wife: “No.” Husband: “Why not?” Wife: “Because I don’t want to sacrifice my career because your mother can’t respect boundaries.” Husband: “Then maybe we keep using her.” Wife: “No.” Husband: “Then we’re stuck.” Wife: “We’re not stuck.” Husband: “What are you suggesting?” Wife: “I’ll pay for daycare.” Husband: “With what?” Wife: “My salary.” Husband: “That would eat most of your paycheck.”
