Two hundred years in the making. Today we celebrated our bicentennial. It was a chance to reflect and honor the people and moments that shaped Furman into what it is today, and to look ahead to everything still to come.

UPDATED ON SUNDAY, FEB. 1 AT 5:02 p.m. Furman University will reopen Monday, February 2 at 12:00PM. Employees should plan to return to work at that time. If employees feel they cannot safely return to work, they should contact their supervisors. In-person classes will resume at 12:30 PM. We understand that some students may still be facing challenges due to the winter storm. Students who are unable to return or may be delayed should email [email protected] and notify their professors. Students will receive a separate update from Student Life with additional updates regarding campus services, hours, and resources. Temperatures will continue to drop below freezing in the evening and early morning hours over the next few days, potentially creating icy conditions on roads and walkways.
