Talking with @GemmaAllenSays about @nscale as it prepares to become the latest neocloud IPO. Nscale is reportedly trying to raise $3B at a $35B valuation. Financing now includes $3.36B in convertible note financing, including a $1 billion commitment from @nvidia. And the company reports $103B in total contracts. So how should investors think about risk around $NSCL? cc: @NYSE @NYSEWired @furrier @bjbaumann2014 @SiliconANGLE

We'll be spending a lot more time trying to understand the outputs of language models. A few thoughts, tips & tricks: Writing. Something I've had success with: Ask your LLM to explain something in ASD-STE100, it's a controlled language specification originally developed for aerospace maintenance documentation. LLMs well-versed in this language and it comes with heavy constraints on clean writing style that I often find a lot more readable. Sometimes I've tried to soften it a bit e.g. ask for "80% of the way to ASD-STE100" because the spec is quite stringent. But even better: Diagrams / images. Instead of writing, ask your LLM to create a diagram. These can be a lot easier to process, parse, and understand. But even better: Web pages. Ask for output "in HTML" to get a beautiful, interactive webpage. LLMs are getting really good at frontend and can create beautiful experiences, animations, etc. But even better: Explainer videos. The output format I am most bullish on is fully custom / bespoke explainer videos generated on any arbitrary topic. Experiment with things like "Create a 3b1b style video explainer on X. Use my ElevenLabs API key for audio narration". (you'd need an API key for the latter or you can ask your LLM to find you decent free alternatives that use your local compute). This is actually starting to work! In summary: - As LLMs get better, they will do more and more of the legwork autonomously, and a lot more of our work will rise up the abstractions into oversight and understanding. - Luckily, LLMs can help here too because as intelligence and code are increasingly abundant, you can ask for large, custom, discardable software artifacts (e.g. web apps, video explainers) that would have never made sense to create before. Push the boundaries here and you'll be surprised.

There is roughly $3.5 trillion of unrealized value sitting on private equity GPs' balance sheets right now. Douglas Beyer says the market built to unlock it is still close to zero. @beyer71 is Managing Partner and founder of Roaring Brook Holdings, which seeds and anchors emerging private markets managers. He spends his days underwriting the exact mismatch that is now squeezing the entire industry: LPs need liquidity back, GPs are sitting on assets they are not ready to sell, and the fund structures binding them together were not built for a world where holding periods keep stretching. Here is how he laid out the math on my podcast: "There's roughly three to three and a half trillion dollars of unrealized fair market value on GP's balance sheets. There's a mismatch of cash flows. LPs need liquidity back. In 2025, total deal volume in the secondary market was roughly two hundred billion dollars. If you compare that to the overall size of alts, which is anywhere from thirteen trillion to twenty trillion, it's near zero." Two hundred billion dollars sounds like a real market until you set it against the size of the problem it is supposed to solve. The secondary market has been treated for years as a niche, almost embarrassing corner of private equity, something GPs used when a deal went sideways. Beyer's numbers say the opposite: it is the release valve for a multi trillion dollar liquidity mismatch, and it has barely been built. The firms that figure out how to buy into that mismatch at a fair price, with real structure and downside protection, are underwriting one of the largest and least contested gaps left in private markets. I’m super excited to join Cognition as its Chief Revenue Officer. Going from the 1st sales rep at Snowflake to CRO at a $100b public company was the thrill of a lifetime.   Never in my wildest imagination did I think I'd get the opportunity to jump on another rocket ship.  Meeting Scott, Russell, and the entire team at Cognition got me so excited to do it again with world-class technology. Hearing how customers spoke about how Devin is transforming their business made me realize this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. While I am not jumping on as the first sales rep this time, I can’t wait to dive in and help drive amazing customer outcomes while building a world-class sales team.  As many of you know, Chad Peets was my co-pilot in building the sales team at Snowflake and my business partner when I joined RPT.  There is no world where I could be the best version of myself without Chad.  So I am thrilled that Chad and the RPT team will be working closely with me in our pursuit of building a generational company.  LFG!!

One of the greatest matches ever and very few got to see it live. This needs to be fixed now. It is unfair to the players, the fans, the sponsors, and the sport.
“No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. There’s nothing cool about a tennis match that finishes at 3:33 a.m. It’s ridiculous.” Ben Shelton defeats Carlos Alcaraz in a glorious match that finished at an inhumane hour. Texas Stock Exchange is Close to Winning Its First Major Listing From New York. Kelcy Warren’s @EnergyTransfer is preparing to move its primary listing to the nascent exchange, reports @WSJ Note: Intercontinental Exchange (ICE) does not operate the separate entity known as the Texas Stock Exchange (TXSE), but ICE does operate its own separate exchange in the state called NYSE Texas. Obviously ICE operates @NYSE The Texas Stock Exchange (TXSE) and NYSE Texas are competing financial heavyweights driving Dallas's rising financial district, dubbed "Y'all Street". Both launched operations in mid-2026 to capitalize on Texas's booming corporate migration and economic momentum. While BlackRock, Citadel Securities, Charles Schwab, and JPMorgan Chase are the heavy hitters behind the Dallas "Y'all Street" boom, the capital pool supporting this ecosystem is much wider. The Texas Stock Exchange (TXSE) alone has raised over $270 million from roughly 90 financial backers. Major Financial Firms Support: Goldman Sachs & Bank of America: Both institutions joined as massive strategic investors, injecting late-stage capital into the upstart exchange. Separately, Goldman Sachs is building a massive $700 million corporate campus in downtown Dallas, making it their largest hub outside of Manhattan. Fortress Investment Group: An early institutional equity holder helping to anchor the exchange’s launch. Stephens Inc.: A prominent independent financial services firm backing the regional platform. Liquidity Providers: To ensure smooth day-to-day trading, TXSE secured backing from 7 of the 10 largest liquidity providers in the U.S., including: Jump Trading, Tower Research Capital, Squarepoint Capital, Susquehanna Private Equity Investments. cc @furrier @dvellante @efipm @steveliesman
