Nam in his deck tech explicitly saying “idk if there is anything in the format that can kill a heron if I have a zhonyas hidden and a nsf in hand” is classic.
This is my petition to ban Zhonyas. It’s actually the only problem card. Everything else is just strong.
Gas
This is super awesome - TLDR:
- Points system will be implemented, placing you in a rank (bronze, silver, etc...) based on your points
- Earn points from placements at Challenges (skirmishes), Showdowns, Regionals, Continentals, scaling with how high you place
- High ranks (gold, platinum) will get priority registration for Regionals/Continentals
- Top 50 ranked players each set get a Continental invite
- Top 50 ranked players each YEAR get free invites to every Regional/Continental for the next year, and qualify for Worlds
- Regional winners qualify for Worlds
This addresses a couple of huge pain points this year with a lot of players:
1. Regional invites can be earned from strong finishes at locals/showdowns/regionals, so you don't have to be an eventbrite goat to get into these events
2. There is now an incentive to place highly even outside of top 64, as you're awarded points for top 128, 256, etc...

We were hiding all the problems with riftbound's metagame through the Best-Of prizing system. You're about to see all the bannable cards and you'll be seeing them every round on stream. No rumble v leona fun matches, 40 leaders are banned out of the game. Enjoy what you created.
Pretty sure the correct RC tournament format is
Day 1 8 man draft pods, 6 rounds of Limited Swiss 1 hour, pair play win lose, 4-2 better gets into D2
Day 2 is 6 more rounds of Constructed Swiss into top 16 cut. Top 16 is single elimination, but top 8 is best of 5.
This literally just means that if you want a best of instead of your chance at worlds then play something in the best of rotation.
Otherwise those that want the worlds invite will be rewarded handsomely either way for trying.

Overnumbered Foil Plated Legends will now be rewarded based on overall tournament performance.
The top 58 finishers will draft from the available Overnumbered Foil Plated Legends in finishing order, beginning with 1st place and continuing until all 58 Legends have been selected.

I guess I just disagree with a lot of people on the RC changes today.
I REALLY like that they've all but killed any incentive to not try and win the event. This is not an RQ, this is the qualification to find the 24 best players in the world to compete on the world stage. We should want RCs to be the best players all trying to win and not have 20% of the event being an Ahri cabal. There were real possibilities people ended day 1 at 6-0 and played only 1-2 real matches of riftbound that day.
I do agree this was way too late to announce this but better late than never. I like that they found a way for the RC to stay competitive focused and still have ridiculously good prizing.
Please don't change RQ prizing, chasing best ofs is great for 2k+ person open events.

Kennen technically was my first league of legends character I ever played
Ekko was the first one I ever fell in love with the playstyle
Kayne Kayle and Vex were the first I ever felt good at the game on
Seeing as I signed up for my first events on the new playriftbound.com instead of UVS here is my OVR stats since OGN for any event that has used UVS.

High key, single use gold or energy token going 2nd would be fire and a great way to reduce the dice roll disparity
After playing Kennen this weekend, ngl I think it’s perfectly balanced. Rhasa is completely fine as a top end. It’s at maximum on par with Heron. The deck is great but primarily because it’s consistent. Nocturne on the other hand is busted. 4m is hard to deal with that early.
