I just bought a number of poly BSP thread fittings. They are labelled as 1", but they are 30mm diameter. The existing parts I have a are 25mm so I thought it would be 1", but apparently the 25mm ones are 3/4" - Very confusing. Another rookie mistake. I keep trying though.

2km up the road to Kinglake, there's a winery that does wood fired pizza on weekends. 4 other blokes I know on this road all retired during the last 12 months. It was a 3hr lunch together on a splendid day. Food, Wine and talking. It's good when you have good men in your life.

The cockies have started demolishing our garden so we've put netting up. Just as the bees are interested too, so it's on and off. A raiding party was foiled by Amber this morning. All is forgiven. Good Dog!

Then I actually stopped and watched them for a bit. They never landed on the rafter at all — they just flew straight in and up. Turns out there's a mud nest tucked right above it. Spikes or fishing line on the rafter would've done nothing. Wrong assumption, wrong solution.

Also, Welcome Swallows reuse the same mud nest every year, and it's actually illegal to disturb one in Victoria. Wouldn't want to anyway, honestly. We like having them around. Our dogs love their swooping. Some problems you don't solve and just live with. Worth it for the birds.

I will need to make this a thread. You'd think that getting a myGov ID would make it easy. I had to as a company director. They just provides permission to start the process. You then need to link 2 services to your ID. ATO and Centrelink. 1/

To get a myGov ID in the 1st place is similar to the Spanish Inquisition joke. Here's the thing. Nothing you provide for that is shared with either the ATO or Centrelink, so you have to do all that again for each linked service. 4/
