This is the BEST possible VP pick. Harris & Walz white house could be monumental for all of us. Give me a clipboard and set me on doors. I'm READY!

Despite the use of pepper spray, clashes between protesters and police and more than 30 arrests, GW released a statement Wednesday saying local police conducted an “orderly and safe” operation to clear the U-Yard encampment early Wednesday

My reaction to apartments requiring application fees to even schedule. Nope, not interested anymore.
It was truly remarkable to be with fellow GW students last night as we rallied for divestments and a free Palestine. I hope they all stay safe on this second day and hold strong. FREE FREE PALESTINE!
As the clock reaches 5a.m. the encampment enters its second day. Keep following along @gwhatchet

landlord wants increase rent by 8%, considering 2 weeks ago someone peed in our stairwell, our maintenance has been so slow, our washer machines are almost always broken, and our property managers are nearly impossible to be in contact with. Yeah, we're moving.

We have to admit that we are NOT strongly organized and if we go into a Convention unprepared-- we are literally setting ourselves up for having far right extremists rewrite the constitution in their vision.
I'm not saying it's a never solution-- but we need to do so much more work (leadership development, values alignment, power building, ect) before we can be ready for this kind of circus with even a shred of hope for it to come out better than we when we started.
A Convention right now may sound like the "duh" solution-- just rewrite it to be more in line with today's values. But it is so much more complicated than that. Be weary. There is a reason voting rights groups oppose this: publicnewsservice.org/2024-0…
I keep seeing well meaning left leaning people calling for a constitutional convention to rewrite the constitution. I gotta say, this is not it.
There is no set process for a Convention-- even the 1st amendment is on the table to be struck or rewritten-- no standards for voting or approving the new constitution as those could be changed during the Convention process. Read: commoncause.org/resource/u-s…
