Annual Meeting Weather Update:
We are monitoring the weather forecast for Monday July, 19th closely. If reports continue to show an increased chance of rain that evening, we have made plans to move our Annual Meeting inside Van Alstyne High School.

Keep in mind that even with as far as forecasting has come in the last several years, pinpointing to the hour the start/end times is difficult. Think of this as our best estimates. Be prepared for winter weather during these windows of time.

To protect the regional grid and maintain reliability, Xcel Energy, along with area electric co-ops and municipal utilities, have been forced to interrupt power to pre-selected electric circuits for up to one hour at a time until system conditions improve.

Unfortunately, the scenario we had hoped would NOT happen, has. The Southwestern Power Pool, which many electric utilities (including electric co-ops) are a part of in this region, has begun temporarily shutting down power, otherwise known as rolling black outs. (1/4)
