On 2 November 2000, Taribo West joined Derby County on a three-month loan from AC Milan. Derby, managed by Jim Smith, had gone 13 Premier League games without a win, and West arrived as a defender famous for his iconic brightly coloured braids. His debut came two weeks later at Pride Park against Bradford City. West played the full 90 minutes and Derby won 2-0. It was their first league win of the season, in their 14th match. He was so eccentric that he would routinely turn up late to team meetings, claiming that God had personally told him he didn't need to attend tactical briefings. In January the loan was extended to the end of the season. West made 18 league appearances without scoring, and Derby won 31 out of 42 points with him in the lineup and finished 17th and avoided relegation. He left in May 2001, because of “international commitments”.

The fact a Pakistani woman is in charge of immigration into Britain says it all. Absolutely pathetic.

Let me be absolutely clear: anyone who targets Londoners because of their faith will be held to account. I'll continue working with the Met Police and partners to tackle faith-based hate crime, such as Islamophobia, protect our communities and ensure there is zero tolerance for this kind of prejudice in our city.

bbc.co.uk/news/uk-englan… 4 men were recorded chanting antisemitic slurs threatening murder and rape. The vehicle was tracked and the occupants arrested. Despite all of the evidence, the case was dropped by the CPS. They targeted Londoners based on their faith. They were not held to account.

It isn't Islamophobia Awareness Month. It is Remembrance Month. You know for the people who fought and died for this country so your ilk could sit on your arses with the comments turned off on benefits. Tosser.
This Islamophobia Awareness Month, we must shine a light on the abhorrent hatred and discrimination Muslims continue to face. In the last year alone, religious hate crimes targeting Muslims rose by 15% in England and Wales. This is utterly unacceptable. London will always stand against hatred, prejudice and discrimination.

UK security agencies still assess Islamist extremism as the largest terrorism threat. MI5's Islamist-related caseload remains roughly 75% of its counter-terrorism work, according to recent threat assessments. isdglobal.org/digital-dispat…

Together they represent one of the biggest transfers of wealth from households and businesses to the Treasury in decades – with little to show for it in public services. Whether you're a business owner employing staff, a parent paying school fees, a farmer planning succession, an entrepreneur building wealth or simply someone trying to save for your family’s future... - You keep less of what you earn. - You keep less of what you invest. - You leave less for your family. Death by a thousand cuts.

Small businesses are the beating heart of any economy. When they struggle, everyone struggles. The general attitude towards any business owner is fucking toxic. Stick to Nigerian politics 🤐
If you can’t afford to pay your workers the minimum wage, let alone enough to live on, maybe the real problem is that your business model isn’t viable 💀 The way these guys talk about wages as if they’re a discretionary expense and not a basic cost of production is wild to me.
