IS RLUSD REPLACING XRP? From Ripple's own website: • Tagline: "Enabling the Internet of Value." Move value the way information moves today. • Mission: "Build breakthrough crypto solutions for a world without economic borders." • What they do: help institutions, businesses, governments and developers "store, move and exchange value." • How: "We work within existing financial systems to improve, not disrupt." From Ripple's own press releases this month: payments, custody, prime brokerage and treasury management, and "RLUSD and XRP underpin these capabilities." Both, not one or the other. WHAT DOES "ENABLING THE INTERNET OF VALUE" ACTUALLY MEAN? Money should move the way information moves on the internet: instantly, 24/7, between any system, in any currency, for any asset. Can RLUSD do that? RLUSD moves dollars. It's a great dollar, but it's still one currency and one company's IOU. It can't be the bridge between yen, pesos, euros, tokenized funds and every other system. To do that you need a neutral asset in the middle, and the XRPL was built around XRP for exactly this: • Auto-bridging checks the XRP route on every cross-currency trade • Payment channels, built for XRP, let value stream in tiny amounts, perfect for AI agents and machine payments • Every account has to hold XRP to exist on the ledger and pay fees You can't enable the Internet of Value with a dollar IOU alone. NOW LET'S DISSECT IT. WHO ELSE DOES EACH PIECE? • Store value (custody) = Anchorage, BitGo, Coinbase, BNY • Move value (payments) = Visa, Mastercard, Swift, Wise, Stripe • Exchange value (FX and trading) = bank FX desks, Coinbase, Circle's StableFX • Prime brokerage = Coinbase Prime, FalconX, Galaxy • Corporate treasury software = Kyriba, SAP and others • Stablecoin = Circle's USDC, Tether, PayPal • Federal trust bank = Anchorage got one first, and Circle, Paxos, BitGo and Fidelity were conditionally approved in the same round as Ripple • "Work within existing financial systems" = Swift, Visa and JPMorgan say the same thing Every single piece has a competitor, and in most of them the competitor is bigger. That includes RLUSD. It's one stablecoin among many, and USDC and Tether are much bigger. SO WHAT'S LEFT THAT NOBODY ELSE HAS? XRP. A neutral asset that's nobody's IOU and nobody can freeze, on a public ledger Ripple has built its business around, with legal clarity, and Ripple holding about $6 billion of it. SO WHY IS EVERY NEW DEAL RLUSD? Because RLUSD is the Trojan horse. Banks won't touch a volatile asset on day one, but they will touch a regulated dollar. So RLUSD walks them onto the XRPL first: Standard Chartered, Cross River, BLOOM, corporate treasuries. Once they're on the ledger, XRP is already sitting there as the native asset, the neutral middle between currencies and the collateral. Dollars first. XRP next. WITHOUT XRP, WHAT IS RIPPLE? A good fintech with a stablecoin, a custodian, a prime broker and treasury software, competing against Circle, Coinbase, Anchorage, Visa and Swift, who are bigger in almost every one of those lanes. WITH XRP, RIPPLE HAS THE ONE PIECE NOBODY CAN COPY. RLUSD brings the dollars in. XRP is what connects everything. That's the leverage. That's the moat. Lose XRP and they lose their power, their presence and the thing that makes them a "unicorn". So ask yourself: why would they replace $XRP ?

48 out of 54 African nations participated in the Russia-Africa Summit 2026—despite intense Western pressure to boycott. This remarkable turnout sends an unmistakable message: Africa will no longer be dictated to. I hope the next Summit will be in Africa

There are two types of investors. One looks at whats already established and being built. The other looks at where things are heading, finds the problem that still hasnt been solved, and invests in the gap. This week we got a federal trust bank, BNY custody, Robinhood and Coinbase. Every one of those rails touches the XRP Ledger. And ICE, the owner of the NYSE, is planning to bring 24/7 trading onchain. Thats where markets are heading: a 24/7, T+0, agentic, tokenized global economy. But none of it solves where the liquidity comes from between all the silos. Could you have one USD hub? Sure. But then how do you connect the global market when not every country wants to run through one countrys currency? And every dollar stablecoin and bank token is still its own pool. Thats the gap $XRP is built for.
LATEST: ⚡ Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse told Bloomberg that “XRP is at the heart of everything Ripple does,” and that anyone who doesn’t think so “is kind of missing the big picture.”

trade[XYZ] and ICE, owner of the New York Stock Exchange, are joining forces to bring 24/7 perpetual futures on Hyperliquid to the United States. In just over a year, our markets on Hyperliquid have surpassed $650 billion in volume. They provide continuous price discovery for stocks, indices, and commodities, and have become trusted reference points for retail and institutions alike when traditional markets are closed. Much of the world trades them. Until now, Americans could only watch. We intend to change that. Subject to CFTC approval, trade[XYZ] and ICE plan to establish a new, dedicated U.S. market, with novel exchange and clearing infrastructure built on Hyperliquid. Planned contracts span equities, indices, commodities, FX, and crypto, with access through participating brokers and platforms. We’ll share more on products, eligibility, and timing as approvals progress. ICE brings more than 25 years of experience operating regulated markets, clearing, and managing risk. trade[XYZ] brings the product development, market design, and technology behind the most liquid and robust markets on Hyperliquid. Innovation and the protections of U.S. regulation shouldn’t be a trade-off. Together, we plan to prove it. ICE is making a strategic investment in trade[XYZ] and joins us in building towards the future of Hyperliquid. A small group of market luminaries is joining as well, beginning with Stan Druckenmiller. For more than four decades, few investors have anticipated the great turns in markets as often as Stan. We’re proud to have him with us for the next one. We’re building the U.S. market in parallel with our existing HIP-3 markets, which we’ll continue to expand and innovate on. We expect both to flourish. They each have a long road map ahead, from new asset classes to new ways to trade them. To the Hyperliquid community, whether you were here before us or came because of us, thank you. You took a chance on new markets and you made them matter. You’ll forever be a part of this story. Anything. Anytime. On ICE[XYZ].

Both Models win, its not even a competition. Youre comparing settlement vs coordination ?? Read Canton's own docs. Its a coordination layer, it makes sure the right parties agree privately. It doesnt provide the liquidity. The cash leg still has to come from somewhere. Your view: 1. Institutions want to settle in 3 different forms of settlement. So 3 pre NOSTRO pools? That will go well in a 24/7 global economy w/ t+0. 2. You guys love facts, yet miss them when convenient. There are payment channels, amm and batch. And even under your scenario fees are still a fraction of a cent. 3. @CantonNetwork is a permissioned approach, @XRPLF is a hybrid stack. And under your framework, why would I as a bank hold $XRP vs $CC? @XRP is neutral and has no issuer. If Basel changes its rules, it can be a collateral instrument, a liquidity router and a float compressor. So youre telling me I can reach a bunch of different currencies and assets with one token? Thats a financial problem solved. Now lets look at CC. I can earn rewards running a node or an app, pay fees on Canton, and send it as a payment. Great, but what financial problem does that solve? So who wins? Both will win. One will have a higher return. For me ill pick the liquidity token. You dyor. Dont listen to people that try to make you choose between one or the other.
The battle for the $100T+ institutional settlement market comes down to one architectural reality: Banks do not want volatile bridge assets, and they cannot tolerate gas-auction fee spikes during market turmoil. Here is why the institutional infrastructure thesis is shifting: 1. The "Bridge Currency" Dilemma for years, the premise of $XRP was serving as a neutral bridge asset. But enterprise treasuries can’t take on intermediary volatility, spread slippage, or capital adequacy penalties when routing billions. Institutions want to settle directly in tokenized deposits, CBDCs, or regulated stablecoins period even @Ripple understands this hence RLUSD. 2. Predictable Economics vs. Congestion Surges when global markets flash crash, volume surges. On public chains like XRPL, surge queues trigger fee escalation. If you’re a clearinghouse running millions of automated micro clearing transactions, dynamic fee jumps break operating margins. Enterprise DLT requires deterministic, utility tied compute pricing. That’s why @CantonNetwork utilizes the $CC (Canton Coin) token under a Burn-Mint Equilibrium insulating transaction overhead from public retail speculative gas wars. 3. Privacy & Composability Tier 1 banks (BNY Mellon, Goldman Sachs, DTCC) aren't deploying on public state machines where transaction flow is broadcast to validators. Canton's ability to execute sub transaction privacy while enabling atomic, cross chain DvP settlement gives it the compliance perimeter institutions actually require. The Outlook: XRPL: Retains a powerful moat in cross border retail remittances, fintech fiat on/off ramps, and high speed public L1 payments. Canton Network: Becoming the institutional settlement rail for global interbank liquidity, repo markets, and tokenized real-world assets. Which model wins institutional adoption by 2030: public liquidity rails or private, interoperable synchronizers? #XRPL #XRP @CantonNetwork $CC #RWA #Tokenization #DeFi #Fintech Which specific asset class (such as overnight repo, cross-border treasury sweeps, or tokenized securities) do you think will drive the highest volume across these networks first?

People keep comparing RLUSD to $XRP as though they’re competing for the same purpose. They’re completely different assets. RLUSD is a stablecoin designed to maintain a value of $1. You can hold 10,000 RLUSD for ten years, and if it maintains its peg, it’ll still be worth $10,000. There’s no price appreciation to chase. $XRP is different. Its price is determined by the market, and growing demand has the potential to increase its value over time. RLUSD is designed for dollar stability, while $XRP has the potential for price appreciation. Both have utility on the XRPL, but only one is designed to have a market-driven price.

In a few years, I think a lot of people will look back and wonder why they didn't see it, how they missed it. The problem $XRP is built for is trillions a day in money that still moves slowly and sits idle in accounts around the world. Add AI agents paying each other and everything getting tokenized, and the need for neutral liquidity only grows. Flow alone isn't the story. The story is how much has to be held for all of it to work.
Trillions!!! 🚀🚀🚀 ripple:native $RLUSD

Longs will be liquidated, shorts will be liquidated. The next financial system cannot bring the same problems the current system has. I think there has to be a crash, whether it's a couple days or a flash crash, with crypto taking the pressure off the old rails because it's the only market open 24/7.

I think a world where XRPL is highly successful in financial applications but XRP does not have high demand and value is very unlikely. About the only way that could happen would be if we wound up in a world with one totally dominant settlement asset. That seems unlikely to me.
