You aren’t going to regulate shit. People still do everything else that’s banned. So you want it half banned? How would that work? It wouldn’t. Just like banning it wouldn’t.
A better argument would be more support for people who struggle with this, not punishing the rest of us.
It is babysitting, isn't it? Banning things so grown people can't do them because a percentage get addicted. I'm not saying there's no problem, but banning something for 2% of people is ridiculous. Name me 1 business that isn’t designed to drain people of money for personal gain? All of them are.
People would just do it in different ways illegally. It wouldn’t stop anything, just like all the other bans.
It might be cold, but the government can’t babysit everyone for everything, and I don’t want them to either. Do you think banning it would actually stop it? If you do, you’re very silly. The only thing it would do is give the government more power over us.
Just because a few people can't control themselves doesn't mean the rest of the country needs to be punished. It's crazy that this is important. Definitely a slow day in politics.
