Thereβs an incredible 18 Wood Sand at Swinemoor, Beverley today.
Iβm guessing this must be one of the highest counts in Yorkshire but I donβt have all the old Yorkshire bird reports to check.
Iβd be very interested if anyone has any details of high counts for Yorkshire.

This Winter Damselfly was a fantastic unexpected new damsel for me whilst birding in some cracking woodland today. Avian highlights were Middle Spotted Woodpeckers, Crested Tits Firecrest, Short toed Treecreepers and Goshawks.

Rarity of the Year Britain & Ireland 2023 @BirdGuides. With over 700 votes in Group 7 another gaudy yank, Canada Warbler, topped proceedings with a well-watched East Coast Brown Booby the runner-up. Thanks for the retweets! Last group of the first round - Group 8 of 8.
