Last week some members played Time of Crisis by @gmtgames! Despite Red taking an early emperorship and point lead, and the pretender Yellow being left almost entirely alone by the Sassanids in the east, Blue won by dominating militarily and holding the most turns as emperor.
Our club put together a team to do the #cryptexhunt, and had the 64th fastest solve time! We had a great time solving this series of text adventure games. It was like doing real-life escape rooms.
Today, we played a game of coup where I took foreign aid as a duke to get someone else who could not possibly be a duke to block it, and thus challenge them on it and knock them out of the game. And then I lost, because the third player was an Assassin.
"If there is a photo that describes 2020, it's this." For context, this game is 6 Nimmt!, and the person to play the sixth card onto any row has to pick the entire row up (taking cards is bad). In this situation, there is no way for to avoid picking up a row.

Today, we played Sheriff of Nottingham on Tabletop Simulator. We couldn't get it to correctly display our names over our own sections of the table, so we just drew on top of the table. #tabletopsimulator

Normally, playing board games virtually on Board Game Arena makes games faster due to not having to set up or track resources, but today we postulated that the game Elfenland would actually be faster in-person. Can you think of any other games that could play faster in person?
We played a game of Carcassonne with the inns and cathedral variant yesterday. One player was able to steal a large city from another, and went on to win the game. Moral of the story is that evil prevails.
