It's sad to watch the elderly trying to keep their dignity in their final years. Struggling to keep their independence, all the while the body they have counted on for so long is now failing them. Be kind to the elderly. One day it will be you in that position. And that's Karma.
Hey @ca_rockets, I believe you, my man — I'm 5'11" and I could dunk in my teens.
@TheRyanHollins "appalled that you're doing this on air"... 😂 Cold blooded!
C'mon @SportsVanessa, you gotta get your boy's back! Can't just let the chat, Ryan, & @CalvinMurphyHOF team up on him.
There’s a strange pressure baked into modern work culture -- the idea that if you aren’t overwhelmed, you must not be doing enough. But overwhelm is rarely a proxy for impact. It’s usually a proxy for noise.
Bad systems make good people look unreliable:
Everyone’s trying, but the setup guarantees inconsistency.
If the workflow is broken, even the most responsible person ends up looking scattered.
Fix the environment and the people stabilize fast.
Everyone knows a founder “putting out fires.”
Most of the time, the "fire" isn’t even an emergency.
Firefighting FEELS like leadership, but it isn’t necessarily. It’s often a systems issue hiding inside a busy calendar.
Most people think energy is a personal problem. It’s not.
Energy is part of the operating environment. Give someone a body that’s depleted, and the smartest founder becomes reactive. Give them a body that’s steady, and their thinking sharpens without effort.
Teams move at the speed of their slowest decision.
When choices hang in limbo, the whole system starts improvising around the unknown. People look busy, but what slows things down isn’t effort -- it’s that everyone is operating off slightly different realities.
Why #founders stall more than they fail usually has nothing to do with effort. Most early teams aren’t struggling to work; just to work in one direction. Chat says one thing, calendar says another, someone’s on a private doc, & who knows which version of the truth is live.
Founders talk a lot about discipline, but most of the discipline conversation is really about self-story.
The story you tell yourself shapes more of your week than any strategy deck.
In early-stage brands, the “ops person” often ends up being PM, firefighter, glue, & quiet decision-maker all at once. When that much sits on one set of shoulders, the job isn’t about pressure -- it's about support.
When support is there, the whole system steadies fast.
Scaling before structure kills momentum.
Most founders don’t need new tools -- they need rhythm, visibility, and systems that work.
We’re helping teams build the same backbone we use inside @GoodVibesLab.
Alignment first. Scale second.
