Last week, I shared an early look at Nevada’s ballot returns and some interesting trends in congressional and #NVLEG districts.
Now I’ve built something to make it much easier to follow those numbers. data-point-research.com
Data Point Research, a project of GB Political LLC, has launched an interactive dashboard tracking voter turnout across Nevada.
You can explore statewide, county, congressional, legislative, and local races, compare historical election results, and even adjust how nonpartisan voters might affect the partisan turnout margins.
I’ll refresh the dashboard every morning with the previous day’s voting activity and add more local races in the coming days.
Still early, but now everyone can follow the numbers as they change.
Let me know if you have any questions or suggestions!
Checking in on the noon NVSOS numbers: Nevada's statewide Democratic turnout advantage has crossed D+37,000 -- the first of two benchmarks I've been watching.
📈Why does 37,000 matter?
As of Oct. 29, Republicans held a 37,853-voter advantage among those who voted in 3 or 4 of the last 4 general elections but had not yet recorded a 2026 ballot.
The Democratic turnout gap is now approaching that entire GOP advantage among historically consistent voters.
Next number I'm watching: D+40,000.
Happy Nevada Day (observed)! Today is the final day of in-person early voting, and expectations are high for a strong turnout on the state holiday.
611,151 Vote Records on data-point-research.com
Statewide: 🟦 D+5.5% (+33,479)
Congress: 🟦 3 🟥 1
NV Senate: 🟦 13 🟥 8
NV Assembly: 🟦 32 🟥 10 (5 #nvleg GOP seats are leaning D)
2026 turnout has reached 60% of the final 2022 total.
2026 early voting has already reached 92% of the 2022 EV total.
Two numbers I'm watching closely: D+36,000 and D+40,000.
Here's what makes this interesting: More than HALF of the current Democratic turnout advantage (17,628 voters) comes from people who participated in no more than 2 of the last 4 general elections.
But there's another side to the equation. As of Oct. 29, Republicans still held a 37,853-voter advantage among registered voters who participated in 3 or 4 of the last 4 general elections but have yet to vote in 2026.
Early voting ends today, but mail ballots will continue coming in through the weekend and Monday.
If the Democratic advantage crosses 40,000, the Nonpartisan vote becomes increasingly important to the Republican path forward.
And one more number worth watching: 55% of voters who haven't participated in the last four general elections and have cast a ballot in 26' are registered outside the two major parties.

UPDATE: +57,291 new records on data-point-research.com 🟦+5.3% statewide.
I have added a statewide graph detailing voter age. Democratic voters are outperforming in all age categories under 55. NP's under 40 are also outperforming the GOP.
7 assembly races remain on the #nvleg "Races to Watch" page.

This was pointed out that Dems and Republicans still basically have an equal pool of voters left to turn out that voted in 22 and 24.
They basically both have 152k voters left that will more than likely vote. So it’s really the low propensity voters that are problematic.
Today's update: +40,534 ballots. Statewide: D+4.8%

A few observations: 7 GOP Assembly Districts once considered safe in past elections are now in "toss-up" or "lean" ranges; 1 DEM swing district is in play.
Washoe Dems are voting by drop box 2:1 over the GOP.
I expect to have a rural refresh with tomorrow's upload.
As requested, I'll add North Las Vegas and Henderson to the local Races tab.
Nevada's latest mail ballot returns are here (10/16): 43,982 ballots, up 12,768 from yesterday.
Republicans continue to narrow the statewide gap, now D+3.4, down from D+4.5.
NV-2 has moved to R+3.6, while several #NVLEG districts remain close, including SD8, AD12, AD22, and AD40.
Early voting is underway. The next round of returns should be interesting.
