Delighted to see @CounterPressHQ build their clientele with another new outlet. A fantastic project over there with top people. @JBryanfootball a great Derby County journalist and a fabulous addition to their offering! 👏🏻 #DCFC #dcfcfans 🐏
⚽️ ANOTHER NEW OUTLET! ⚽️ Another established football brand is making the move to CounterPress, with Rams Review set to join the platform this autumn. @ramsreviewpod has been talking all things Derby County for seven years via a popular podcast, and is now set to take its coverage to the next level on CounterPress. The site is led by journalist and Derby fan @JBryanfootball. As editor and co-host of the Rams Review Podcast, he has covered the club from the depths of administration, the return to the Championship, 2024-25’s great escape and the summer’s collapsed takeover. Jack is also a media assistant with Derby County Women and has had work published for the Derby Telegraph, Pitch Magazine and The Guardian. Rams Review members can look forward to detailed written and podcast coverage of the men’s and women’s first teams, with reports, features, interviews, tactical analysis and historical pieces, as well as academy updates. Jack said: “I’m incredibly proud to be ushering in a new era for Rams Review, providing further in-depth, insightful coverage of Derby County. “Following my dad and grandad, I am a lifelong Ram, with memories from Deforestation to that play-off comeback at Elland Road so reporting from Pride Park really is the dream. “I hope that I can continue to bring a different perspective from the press box in an ever-changing media landscape.”

I feel torn with these kind of messages. Torn between a passionate bias for the beauty of lower league football and wanting others to share in that sense of community on the one hand - on the other, a realistic understanding of how things actually are. So, I think we have to fervently promote League Two from a reasonable, self-aware base. Bristol Rovers at home might be a similar proposition to me and you as Arsenal in the cup, but not to most people. Not to the majority of the town of Fleetwood or those from the Fylde coast. For most people, the visit of the champions of England just is more exciting. It’s Arteta. It’s Havertz. Gyokeres. Odegaard. World Cup stars. If there’s people who went on Tuesday who fell in love with the club and were inspired to go more often, then that’s a wonderful thing - and I sincerely hope there’ll be a portion of the attendance for whom that’s true. But to expect the same attendance is to set oneself up for disappointment. I lean more on the side that it was wonderful to see Highbury packed out on that one occasion, than that it’s annoying because it should be like that every week. Sometimes you just have to treasure things for what they are: fleeting moments.
A Fleetwood fan sent us this after the Arsenal game… 👀 "Funny how everyone suddenly supports Fleetwood when Arsenal come to town. Tickets sell out instantly and Highbury is packed, but where are half of them when we’re playing Bristol Rovers on a Saturday? "The club needs support now more than ever, not just when a Premier League giant comes to town. If you were there for Arsenal, there’s no reason not to be there for Bristol Rovers too." Fair or harsh? 😬

Some story at Carlisle - ever seen anyone ever win by THREE goals playing with NINE men vs 11 for an hour?! I've never seen anything close to that. Extraordinary! 😲
It's defeat at Brunton Park

They use to beat my team regularly and with ease at times! Always had a strong squad! In our last 3 meetings we scored 13! They’ve become unbelievably light weight in my humble opinion over the last year and from watching 1st half last night haven’t changed! UTI!

Absolutely proud of the team and staff! They all deserve the accolades they are receiving and Fleetwood showed a masterclass of how to win a penalty shootout against premiership champions

Barnsley have the youngest football team in England. That could be exciting. Here it is proof of a club well on its way to breaking point and the lowest ebb in 50 years. The latest Journeyman assignment ⬇️ inews.co.uk/sport/football/b…

Great listening and agree with virtually all of that. Very perceptive from Gab considering you don’t watch us much. The spine of the team to operate in div 4 certainly needs attention in Jan Resilience and physicality required at CH, CM and CF positions

Wow, that's a big statement!
Yep Dave that idea (which we’ve had for 20 seasons) just won’t work at this level as it never has right 🤔. But being serious for a moment; I take full responsibility for all the squads built over my 20 years owning Posh. For some reason I have a lot of confidence in the current one. RS will bring the best out of them & we as owners will support him in doing so. My promise to you the fans is always honesty, So I make a promise that if this squad isn’t top 10 by February, I’ll put my share of the club up for sale & let others take the baton with our wonderful club. 💙

Credit to Warne for changing things around and turning Dons form around Collins, Gilbey and Goode outstanding. Bromley were awful.
