Two years ago the reflecting pool was reflecting, the East Wing existed and was welcoming visitors to the People’s House, and the Kennedy Center was financially stable and artistically thriving. Gasoline was semi-affordable and USAID was saving human lives all over the world.

Folks. If we’re going to be a big tent, then damnit we need to be a big tent. We need all hands on deck right now. Trump isn’t going to willingly leave in 2028. We need to send more folks to DC with the political will and courage to stand up to his bullying.
Someone in comments blaming raising the minimum wage in California for high food prices at fast food restaurants and I just can’t. How deeply brainwashed this society is into thinking people being paid a barely survivable wage is why companies make things expensive instead of the fact these companies are making huge profits and simply not satisfied with making billions. They always want more more more. It’s like that popular phrase that says: "Poverty exists not because we cannot feed the poor, but because we cannot satisfy the rich"
If you’re raising boys/young men and you’re not having these conversations about protecting women, reaching out to report when something terrible is happening to someone, making sure the young women around them are OK and not being taken advantage of then you’re part of the problem
