@IndieGameJoe Can I interest you in "Vampire Tactics", it is a fast-paced dark fantasy tactical roguelite, where the big twist is you turn enemies into loyal vampires. We're right now a team of 2 developers and had help with music & voice for the trailer.

I'm worried about the Ocarina of Time remake. I've played a lot of remakes of games I loved as a kid, and each one missed a key aspect of what made the original GRAND. With the Final Fantasy 7 Remake: the graphics were amazing, the voice acting epic, but... the story. They changed it. That was OG 7's strength. An epic story that got bigger and bigger as it went on. It started SMALL, in a single city, with a limited cast, and then literally broke out into the big world, and grew, and grew, that by the end, the scale felt so epic, it made the story feel bigger than ever. I truly loved the experience, but the FF7 Remake started TOO grand. At every corner, the 7 Remake reminds you of the big scale of the story, and even adds creatures to the story (the Whispers) that somehow make the story feel as though everything was prophesied, and that Cloud has a chosen destiny that must be adhered to. That small change... destroyed a core aspect of the OG that made it wonderful. Link's Awakening Remake: graphics are amazing! The music, grand! But... The OG Link's Awakening had a dark TONE, and that was enhanced by the GameBoy. The GameBoy (and most older NES games) was dark. Black screens with white text. Darker colors. Everything feels seeped in a gloom that adds to the atmosphere. And it fits the story. Link's Awakening story is one that gradually grows in dread. Are YOU the villain? And the ending is bittersweet. You destroy everything in order to escape the dream... The dark tone fits, and makes the game memorable, even though it was a simple GameBoy title with minimal text. In the Link's Awakening Remake, everything is BRIGHT. The dark tone is gone because of it. The game feels like playing with baby toys, even if its a visual delight. A simple tiny change destroyed a core experience of the game. This is why I'm afraid for Ocarina of Time. The graphics look amazing. The music is epic. But... What if they don't understand what made the OG amazing? What if it misses the spirit of the game? Obviously, I'm going to play it. I pre-ordered it as soon as I could, LOL But that doesn't mean I'm not fearful. I've been disappointed too many times to count...

Jean-Luc Picard (from the TNG series) is my favorite ST captain of all time. A philosopher captain through and through!

Phantom Blade Zero drops tonight and everyone's comparing the combat to Sekiro meets Ninja Gaiden. One thing I desperately want from action games: bosses that feel like a duel, not a damage sponge >.> Right? I'm not alone? (Please tell me I'm not alone)

In 2011, Worm started as a free web serial about a bullied girl who controls bugs. Now it's getting its first-ever comic from IDW in 2027 o.o Anyone read it back in the day? (It's like a superhero thing, haha)
