Onchain TCG has become a proven PMF in crypto. What’s interesting now is seeing exchanges and wallets begin to adopt it as a product layer. A year ago, we saw the “DeFi mullet” become mainstream: DeFi protocols sit in the backend as the liquidity and infrastructure layer, while CEXs and neobanks own the frontend distribution. TCG trading now seems to be developing along a similar path: TCG infrastructure in the backend, exchanges / wallets / neobanks as the distribution layer. Still early on the distribution side, but the pattern is already taking shape.
