Gold Lake Estate: Building Communities Through Strategic Partnerships
The Gauteng MEC for Human Settlements, Tasneem Motara, joined Gauteng Partnership Fund (GPF) CEO Lindiwe Kwele and FIC Chairperson Leon G. Marincowitz today to officially launch Gold Lake Estate in Elandsfontein, Germiston. The affordable rental housing development is co-funded by the GPF and the Public Investment Corporation (PIC), demonstrating the value of strategic partnerships in unlocking affordable housing opportunities.
Speakers at the launch emphasised that affordable housing is about more than providing a place to live. It is about connecting people to opportunities, strengthening communities and laying the foundation for inclusive economic growth.
Strategically located near major transport routes, including the N17, employment opportunities, educational facilities such as Germiston South Primary School, and other essential amenities, Gold Lake Estate provides quality, affordable rental accommodation that brings residents closer to the opportunities they need to thrive.
Through strategic partnerships, innovative funding solutions and collaboration with key stakeholders, the GPF continues to unlock investment in affordable housing and advance the development of integrated, sustainable human settlements across Gauteng.
