Possibly a little bit arrogant!!!
“I don’t care if he’s the Chair of the Defence Select Committee”
A churlish and ill-tempered outing from Wes Streeting at the Despatch Box as he undermines Tan Dhesi and the Labour-chaired Defence Select Committee that holds the Defence Secretary to account.
This is entirely the wrong tone to adopt.
They pay labour, labour pays them back
🚨 BREAKING 🚨
🥀 @UKLabour remove ALL LIMITS on so called ‘facility time’ - Paid Time Union Officials have for Trades Union activities - and instead hand their trade union paymasters a blank cheque for political activity on our railways as the expense of passengers and taxpayers
🥀 @andyburnham’s Ministers admit there is now NO fixed budget or limit on taxpayer-funded time off for union officials after they scrapped @Conservatives rules limiting the amount of payroll that could be put in union activities
🥀 Labour @transportgovuk ministers can’t even say what it will cost
🚊 Passengers want safe and reliable journeys at reasonable cost and taxpayers want their tax burden kept down
💷 Labour’s priority? Keeping their unions paymasters happy

EXCLUSIVE: Europe spent two decades underplaying the China threat because it wanted to trade with Beijing, ex-UK defence chief Gavin Williamson tells The Storm Media. "You cannot avoid conflict by ignoring the threat," he said.

The Union Learning Fund was a route to channel millions of pounds of taxpayers’ money to the trade unions. That money would be far better spent directly on further education colleges, rather than passing through the unions.
Labour paying back its donors — with your money.

This is so depressing.
A Green Party election leaflet from Holborn and St Pancras wrapped in a foreign flag, boasting endorsements from The Muslim Vote and Camden Muslim Alliance.
This is just naked sectarianism.

Grand diplomats show contempt for British citizens
Absolutely brilliant article and depressingly true.

We owe a great debt to the Nepalese people, with so many Nepalese joining the Gurkhas which is a cornerstone of the British army.
I hope that Minister’s will be announcing today British Armed Forces support to Nepal so that we can in someway repay that debt we owe them.
So many families have been waiting just for too long. It really is time for @AlexDaviesJones to respond as it would be so appreciated by so many.
Day 16 of asking @MoJGovUK @AlexJJNorris @AlexDaviesJones when they will respond to their duty under Section 4 of the Civil Partnerships, Marriages and Deaths (Registrations etc.) Act 2019.
Royal Assent was granted 26 March 2019.

State inspectors demanding entry to your home to decide whether you should pay more tax.
Refuse them and you’ve committed a criminal offence.
I’ve spoken to the Sunday Telegraph about Labour’s sinister assault on civil liberties 👇🏻
I think we all welcome @andyburnham U-turn on early release of those who have committed manslaughter.
This was very predictable and should have been the position straight after his review without putting so many families through so much misery over the last few weeks.

So the question for John Healey is a simple one.
Does he accept that this cannot go on, or does he intend to carry on borrowing at £369 million a day and hope the markets keep looking the other way?
Britain’s national debt has risen above £3tn for the first time, campaigners have claimed.
Labour is now borrowing £4,270 every second, the TaxPayers’ Alliance estimates, or £369m per day.

This is a deadly serious ‘wake up call’.
Britain needs to compete - for energy, capital and talent - but the government carries on regulating, putting up taxes and deterring investment.
Labour simply don’t understand business
We all knew that @UKLabour plans would lead to the early release of rapists and paedophiles and despite warnings they went ahead regardless.
Now is the time to U-turn because this is causing so much agony to so many victims.

£24,785. That's a full-time minimum wage salary.
Under the PM's proposed social care levy, you'd hand over an extra £334 of it.
Labour's answer to this issue: Send working people the bill.
Great calculator from @TheSun

So on @BBCr4today @EmmaforWycombe explains that @andyburnham is not raising taxes this week.
Sadly the reassurance didn’t extend to future weeks!!!
So @andyburnham will possibly announce a U-turn on early release of prisoners.
He has announced £1.2bn of unfunded spending commitments yet he won’t be interviewed by the media or answer questions from MP’s.
He is now PM he can’t hide and avoid questions.

Unfortunately, Western Europe, including the U.K., is not ready to truly fight for its strategic interests. For decades, it was under U.S. protection, and now, since 2014, Ukraine has been fighting for its interests, paying the price with 1.5 million lives, destroyed infrastructure, and millions of refugees. War demands greater sacrifices, and our enemies, as we see, are prepared to fight long and bloodily. If we are not ready to fight personally, then what difference does it make whether we spend 3 percent or 5 percent on defense? First, let's answer one question honestly: are we ready to kill and die to prevent an aggressor from crossing NATO borders? If yes, then we will begin to discuss the price; if no, then we will limit ourselves to our usual political rhetoric!
