He joins the DevFest Ilorin main stage for a keynote at a moment when the question is how to turn community energy into sustained growth.
What should a developer community help you do after the event ends?

Some of the most important developer tools are people, programmes, and the paths between them.
Sodiq Akinjobi @geektutor works on the systems that help developer communities find one another, learn, and keep going.

Day 1 of @blockfestafrica was the day I mostly anticipated for the event, it was personal for me.
For the first time in Blockfestβs history, we opened with workshops and masterclasses; hands-on, skills-first sessions across a technical and a non-technical track. No panels, no talking heads. Just builders, learning and doing together. It was something we hadnβt tried before and honestly? It exceeded every expectation I had.
To every facilitator who showed up prepared, passionate, and gave that room everything, thank you. You set the tone for the entire event.
Then the evening came, and so did the Founders Back Room.
A private session. Founders and builders in the same room as investors from @hoaqclub, @HashedEM, @AntlerGlobal, and @microtraction, having a real, unfiltered conversation about funding, building, and what it takes to scale on this continent. Watching those connections form in real time was something I wonβt forget quickly.
To the VCs who made time for that conversation and to our moderator, @iam_gilchrist for holding it so well, thank you for showing up with honesty and intention.
And to my programs team, you already know. None of this happens without you. Your expertise, your attention to detail, your ability to stay calm when things get chaotic, I see it and Iβm proud of every single one of you.
To the wider Blockfest team, our volunteers, and every single person who walked through those doors on Day 1, thank you. You made it what it was. π€
Day 2 recap coming soon.

Wow! Wow! Wow! BLOCKFEST AFRICA.
Day 1 of Blockfest is one for the records. I've never experienced so much in a short span of time. There is no single post that can entirely capture what happened on day 1 if you weren't physically present.
Last year I was a Volunteer, this year I worked as part of the programs team.
I want to Specially thank my daddy @SamuelXeus β€οΈ for the opportunity to be part of his dream and what he is building.
Thank you to the Best Team lead @thesarahidahosa for how she leads, manages, puts things in order and for the opportunity to work with her.
BLOCKF3ST IS NOT AN EVENT, IT'S MORE THAN THAT; BLOCKF3ST IS A GLOBAL PLATFORM FOR AFRICAN TALENTS, BUILDERS AND FOUNDERS.
When you think of AFRICA as regards to anything in the Web3 Space, Blockfest will be the first platform that comes to mind and we are almost there.
I Love you Daddy Xeus @SamuelXeus β€οΈ.

I was just reminising this morning about Day 1 of Blockfest Africa 2026 and I was filled with so much gratitude
I mean, that day was filled with people like myself. Individuals who showed up to teach, build and share. The technical and non-technical workshops were phenomenal ππΎ
Thank you to the Day 1 speakers and facilitators: Hon. Olatunbosun Alake, @bibi_eneje, @toby_solutions, @LionessAtEase, @developerayo, @realdanielemeka, Aiseosa Uyi-Idahor, @olanetsoft, @Geektutor and @10x_Ega. Thanks also to our host, @Xploit_VOBE .
