A Safe Weekend Is a Happy Weekend! As families and communities prepare for a festive fall weekend, GGI reminds everyone to make safety a priority, whether you're trick-or-treating, attending community events or welcoming visitors to your home. 🎃A few simple precautions can help keep everyone safe: 🎃Be visible. Wear bright colors, use reflective accessories and carry flashlights after dark. 🎃Stay alert. Use sidewalks and crosswalks, and watch carefully for vehicles. 🎃Keep pathways clear. Remove tripping hazards and make sure entrances and walkways are well-lit. 🎃Stay together. Young children should be accompanied by a responsible adult. 🎃Celebrate responsibly. Be mindful of others and look out for neighbors and friends. At GGI, safety is part of everything we do, and that commitment extends beyond the workplace to the communities we serve. From all of us at Team GGI, have a safe and enjoyable weekend! #SafetyFirst #CommunitySafety

𝗖𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝘃𝘀. 𝗡𝗼𝗻-𝗚𝗹𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗣𝗶𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗙𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗲 𝗚𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀: 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁'𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗗𝗶𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲? The glass used to frame artwork can make a significant difference in how the artwork is viewed, especially under varying lighting conditions. Whether framing fine art, photography, prints or collectibles, understanding the differences between picture frame glass options helps professional framers select the right glazing for each application. 𝗖𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗣𝗶𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗙𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗲 𝗚𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀 Provides a traditional, transparent appearance. Offers good color clarity but can produce distracting reflections from windows and overhead lighting. An economical choice for everyday framing applications. 𝗡𝗼𝗻-𝗚𝗹𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗣𝗶𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗙𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗲 𝗚𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀 Features a specially treated surface that diffuses reflected light, reducing distracting glare. Improves visibility in brightly lit environments. May slightly soften image detail, particularly when the glass is separated from the artwork. 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗔𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗔𝗻𝘁𝗶-𝗥𝗲𝗳𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗠𝘂𝘀𝗲𝘂𝗺 𝗚𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀? Back-Painted Glass Wall Cladding: How Do Substrate, Color and Finish Shape the Design? Specifying back-painted glass starts with the desired color—but the glass substrate and surface finish also influence the result. For architects and designers, three decisions help bring the intended appearance into focus: • Choose the substrate. Low-iron glass minimizes the green tint associated with standard clear glass, making it especially useful where color accuracy matters. Textured glass can also be back-painted to create a unique aesthetic, adding dimension and pattern to the colored surface. • Define the color. Custom color matching supports coordination with surrounding materials, furnishings and brand palettes. Review a physical glass sample before approving the final selection. • Select the finish. A traditional glass surface creates a glossy appearance. Pearl™ Satin Etched Glass and Pearl™ Low Iron Ultra Satin Etched Glass can be back-painted on the non-etched side to create a softer, matte appearance. The images shown compare the same custom dark blue on three substrates: smooth low-iron glass, Pearl™ Low Iron Satin Etched Glass and Reeded Low Iron textured glass. Each brings a different surface character to the color. Beyond aesthetics, coordinate panel dimensions, cutouts, edgework and attachment details early. Confirm fabrication and safety glazing requirements for the intended application. Choose your glass substrate. Define your color. Complete your design. #BackPaintedGlass #GlassWallCladding #DecorativeGlass

How do you add privacy to a glass tub enclosure while keeping the space bright and open? This custom residential installation shows one beautiful approach: ½-inch low-iron tempered glass with Alice® direct-to-glass printing creates a horizontal band for privacy and a distinctive design detail. The glass was also factory-treated with GGI’s Enhance™ glass surface protection to help keep it clearer and cleaner longer. By helping repel mineral deposits and other contaminants that can leave glass looking stained over time, Enhance makes routine cleaning easier. The best part? Hearing from our customer: “The customer is very happy! Thank you!!” — Cindy Stein, VP of Operations, Uncle Bob’s Glass & Mirror Thank you to Uncle Bob’s Glass & Mirror in Penndel, Pennsylvania, for the beautiful installation and for sharing these photos with us! #GGI #SeeWhatGlassCanDo

𝗧𝗲𝘅𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗣𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝗚𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀: 𝗟𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻 𝗢𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗣𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗮𝗰𝘆, 𝗩𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗟𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗠𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 Throughout this series, GGI has highlighted a range of linear textured patterned glass designs to help architects and designers compare how subtle differences in texture, line spacing and pattern movement can affect aesthetics, translucence, visible light transmission and privacy. Linear textured patterned glass can help define space, soften views, share light and create visual rhythm across interior and exterior applications. From subtle ribbed surfaces to more pronounced reeded and flowing textures, each pattern creates a different design effect. Featured linear textured patterned glass options include: • Thin Ribbed Clear and Thin Ribbed Low Iron • Micro Ribbed Low Iron • Stylos S Low Iron • Reeded Clear and Reeded Low Iron • Stream Low Iron Low-iron textured glass options are available for projects where clarity and truer color rendering are important. By reducing the greenish cast commonly associated with standard clear glass, low-iron glass can help preserve the appearance of surrounding finishes, materials and color palettes. Available in a variety of sheet sizes and thicknesses, GGI’s textured patterned glass options can support a wide range of architectural and interior design applications, including partitions, doors, sidelites, shower enclosures, cabinetry, furniture, feature walls and insulating glass units. GGI makes it easier to specify textured patterned glass and access products through glass fabricators across the country. See these textured patterned glass options on display at GlassBuild America in Las Vegas, September 23-25th, at booth 4135 #GGI #SeeWhatGlassCanDo #TexturedGlass #PatternedGlass #DecorativeGlass #ArchitecturalGlass #InteriorDesign #GlassBuild

𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝗟𝗼𝘄 𝗜𝗿𝗼𝗻 𝗧𝗲𝘅𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗚𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀: 𝗟𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻 𝗪𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗦𝗼𝗳𝘁 𝗠𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 Linear textured glass can do more than create privacy. It can guide the eye, soften light and introduce a sense of movement within architectural spaces. As part of GGI’s textured patterned glass collection, Stream Low Iron offers a refined linear design with a subtle, flowing surface pattern. Its low-iron substrate provides a clearer, more neutral appearance than standard clear glass, making it well suited for interiors where color clarity and high visible light transmission (VLT) are important. For architects and interior designers, Stream Low Iron offers a way to define space while maintaining a light, open feel. Its linear texture can complement modern, hospitality, workplace, retail and wellness environments where privacy, translucence, and visual rhythm need to work together. 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻 𝗜𝗱𝗲𝗮𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝗟𝗼𝘄 𝗜𝗿𝗼𝗻 Use Stream Low Iron textured glass for applications that require just a hint of privacy, including: • Interior partitions • Doors and sidelites • Privacy screens • Feature walls • Shower enclosures • Cabinetry and display applications • Decorative glass panels • Light-sharing spaces where privacy and openness both matter Like each linear pattern in the GGI collection, Stream Low Iron has its own distinct balance of translucence, privacy and visual texture. This gives design teams flexibility to select the pattern that best supports the project’s aesthetic and performance goals. 𝗖𝗮𝗻 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝗟𝗼𝘄 𝗜𝗿𝗼𝗻 𝗯𝗲 𝗳𝗮𝗯𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱? Yes. Stream Low Iron can be fabricated to support a wide range of decorative architectural glass applications. How should architects and interior designers select decorative mirror glass? Clear, low-iron, tinted, satin-etched and antique mirror can each create a distinctly different architectural experience. In GGI’s latest Insights article, Rocco Ficara, National Sales Manager for GGI’s Specialty Glass Division, explores how mirror selection can influence reflection, color, light, depth and atmosphere within an interior space. Beyond the Reflection: How to Select Decorative Mirror Glass looks at key considerations when evaluating: • Clear mirror for traditional reflective applications • Low-iron mirror for greater color neutrality and clarity • Tinted mirror to introduce bronze, gray and other tonal effects • Satin-etched mirror for a softer, more diffused reflective surface • Antique mirror for patina, character and visual depth Rocco also addresses important specification considerations, including panel size, seams, fabrication, safety requirements and installation. The takeaway: Selecting architectural mirror should begin with the design experience you want to create—then move to the glass type, finish and fabrication approach that best supports that intent. Going to GlassBuild America? See these options in person. Visit GGI at Booth 4135, September 23–25 in Las Vegas, to explore GGI’s complete range of decorative mirror glass and specialty architectural glass solutions.
