La sécurité de l’Europe passe par la chute du régime des mollahs. Drones iraniens contre l’Ukraine, missiles menaçant l’Europe, Hezbollah, Hamas, Houthis, cellules dormantes et réseaux terroristes sur notre sol, déstabilisation du Moyen-Orient et menaces sur nos approvisionnements énergétiques. Rencontre passionnante avec le prince @PahlaviReza . Le renversement du régime passera nécessairement par une action au sol. Mais il faut passer par trois leviers : 1. Renforcer la résistance intérieure : résilience et moyens de défense de la population, accès à Internet et aux réseaux sociaux, davantage de défections au sein du régime. 2. Affaiblir le régime : mobiliser les pays voisins, couper les financements du Hezbollah, du Hamas et des Houthis, faire pression sur ses soutiens russes, chinois et nord-coréens, examiner les circuits financiers liés au Qatar et au Pakistan, agir sur les avoirs gelés en Allemagne et au UK. 3. Créer un mouvement international de soutien : mobiliser États et opinions publiques, coordonner les pressions et préparer la transition démocratique. #Iran

Today was incredibly emotional and remarkable day at the European Parliament. I had the absolute honour of co-hosting (with Charlie Weimers) an event with Crown Prince of Iran, Reza Pahlavi. After so many months and years of suffering of the Iranian people, today we finally managed to hear the true voice of Iranians and the greatest counterforce to the IRGC, the Crown prince himself. The core message of Reza Pahlavi cannot be overemphasized: The Iranian people are not the IRGC. They are victims of that regime. The Iranian people have shown extraordinary courage. They have been willing to risk and give their lives for freedom. Yet, the executions continue. I’m completely devastated to hear that just this morning, two more people were executed in Iran. The IRGC’s ambitions do not stop at Iran’s borders. Exporting its ideology, spreading terror and targeting people in countries across the world are central to its mission. That is precisely why Europe needs to stop pretending this is someone else’s problem. The US and Israel have done great job. Europe needs to step up also. We need stronger sanctions against the regime but there is one essential place to start: No engagement with the IRGC. That should be the bare minimum. The Iranian people are not asking to fight their fight for them but to not stand in the way and not to abandon them.

Idag har jag för andra gången träffat den iranska kronprinsen Reza Pahlavi, den samlande kraften inom oppositionen i Iran. Hans budskap är tydligt: Islamistregimen måste störtas inifrån, av det iranska folket. Men mod räcker inte. Det krävs också organisation, samordning och möjligheter att kommunicera utan att riskera livet. Det iranska folket visar gång på gång sin vilja att kämpa för friheten, trots regimens brutala förtryck. Frågan är vad vi i västvärlden är beredda att göra för att hjälpa dem. Det handlar om att ge den demokratiska oppositionen politiskt stöd, men också om att bryta regimens informationsblockad och säkerställa tillgången till fritt internet. Utan möjlighet att kommunicera och organisera sig försvåras också kampen för ett fritt Iran. EU kan och borde hjälpa iranierna med detta. Men vad som är verkligt anmärkningsvärt är att EU:s utrikeschef Kaja Kallas vägrar att träffa Reza Pahlavi. EU säger sig stå bakom det iranska folkets rätt till frihet och demokrati. Hur går det ihop med att samtidigt avvisa dialog med en av de mest framträdande företrädarna för den demokratiska oppositionen? Därför har jag idag ställt två skriftliga frågor: en till den höga representanten om hennes vägran att träffa Pahlavi och en till kommissionen om vilka konkreta åtgärder den vidtar för att ge iranierna tillgång till fritt internet. Solidaritet med det iranska folket kan inte stanna vid fördömanden och deklarationer. Den måste omsättas i handling. Det iranska folket har redan visat sitt mod. Nu måste Europa visa sitt.

Rencontre marquante avec @PahlaviReza, fils du dernier shah d’Iran. Il m’a mise en garde contre « l’alliance funeste du rouge et du noir » : en Iran, les marxistes ont porté les islamistes au pouvoir avant d’être persécutés par ceux qu’ils avaient soutenus. Tout un peuple en paie encore le prix. Que la gauche française, qui pactise avec l’islamisme par calcul électoral, entende cet avertissement : l’Histoire a déjà montré où mène cette compromission. Soutien à Reza Pahlavi dans son combat pour un peuple iranien libre, débarrassé de la tyrannie des mollahs.

Ich bin der @FNFreiheit sehr dankbar, dass sie ihren Freiheitspreis 2026 an das iranische Volk verleiht. Reza Pahlavi @PahlaviReza ist genau die richtige Person, um diese Auszeichnung treuhänderisch entgegenzunehmen. Er steht wie kaum ein anderer für die Chance des iranischen Volkes auf einen Übergang zu einem freien, rechtsstaatlichen und demokratischen Land, das Stabilität und Frieden für die Region will und die Freiheit für die iranische Bevölkerung.

Now Europe must show its.” Following her meeting with Prince Reza Pahlavi, MEP @alicemedce reaffirmed her support for the Iranian people and their struggle for freedom. She called for political support, concrete European action to break the regime’s information blockade, and secure access to a free internet so Iranians can communicate and organise safely. Solidarity with the Iranian people must be translated into action.

French MEP @CelineImart warns that Iran’s history offers Europe a grave lesson: the alliance between Marxists and Islamists helped bring the Islamic Republic to power, before the Islamists turned on those who had enabled them. Following her meeting with Prince Reza Pahlavi, she expressed her support for his fight alongside the Iranian people to free Iran from the tyranny of the mullahs. Europe must heed the lessons of Iran’s history.
