Given the effort that goes into discussing #traitors, someone should make a podcast that unironically analyses old Mornington Crescent games; it would make as much sense

My two-minute noodles had an extra sachet. I feel giddy with the stroke of luck. Or maybe it's too many sachets

Well @MSFT365Status, just received an email from office365alerts at microsoft[.]com, source IP 2a01:111:f403:c406::3, that passed DMARC and SPF that contains multiple phishing URLs at shared-cloud-manager[.]folio[.]io[.]vn. You might want to check that out

Dear Arnotts. Salada crackers only have one job. They need to break across the perforation. They don't. They splinter. If there's nobody at your company who understands this, that's something to work on yeah

Looks like the #emudra certificate generation process starts with ‘for /L %%a in (1,1,255) do’ and someone put the %%a in the wrong place

TV show idea: ‘Lawson’s Law’ - spinoff from ‘Breaking Bad’. He goes around solving people’s problems à la Knight Rider/Equalizer while espousing oldey-timey wisdom. Gimmick: each week he uses a different gun

Well the Wmicalypse didn’t turn into a thing. But do a million failed scripts actually make any noise?

When is the MCU going to depict comics-accurate Wasp?

TV Show idea: ‘Gilligan’s Island’ reboot. Larry David as Thurston Howell III. That’s all I have so far.

This goes back about 25 years because employers would sit on the super payments as a form of 0% finance so ATO stipulated money had to be in employee funds by cutoff date to claim deduction. With EFT and clearing houses it makes no sense not to accept original payment date
Hughesy, quick one. We've got a small restaurant in Perth. Paid our staff super every quarter for five years, in full, never missed. Turns out the ATO counts it as paid when it hits the employee's fund, not when it leaves your account. Clearing house takes five days. We paid on the due date. So it landed five days late. Five days late = the whole quarter counts as never paid. Then 10% interest a year on the full amount, backdated to 2021, ignoring the fact we paid. Bill came in at $140k. Thats interest on money that's been sitting in our staff's super accounts earning for them the whole time. Best part is there was no way to check. No report exists. You can't even get a login to the clearing house. I asked. They said employers don't get one. Accountant says he's got other clients the same. Feels like half the small venues in the country are sitting on this. Anyway, on a payment plan, still open, still cooking. Just gonna work a whole year and all profit goes to the ATO. Cheers Is this fair ATO?

If you can solve Hard Pips in less time than it takes for a router to reboot, it’s either a problem with Pips or the router

Steven Wilson should do a double album version of Yellow Hedgerow Dreamscape without the jokey narration and it would the greatest album ever made

The Microsoft article again gives a list of mitigations, none of which address the actual vector, ie running something in Terminal, which can't be removed from the Windows interface in a way that would make it harder for users to access in these attacks
Microsoft researchers observed a TerminalFix campaign, a variant of ClickFix that deploys a multi-stage attack chain combining DLL sideloading, steganographic payload extraction, extensive Active Directory reconnaissance, & a custom reverse-tunnel implant. microsoft.com/en-us/security…

Not to mention that it's 2026 and it's still possible for a remote web server to plant something in the local clipboard; a completely bonkers idea that might have sounded ok in 1997 but now needs to be blocked outright with no exceptions

Just discovered DisallowRun. Where’s this been all my life?

The trestle table elevates the whole thing to Art
The longer you look at this farewell party, the more insulting it gets.

Has anybody coined the expression ‘The Wmicalypse’?

This sounds like someone finally closed a request from 1998. The user profile path is supposed to be invisible (more or less), why would an end user care what it was? Stand by for more ridiculous characters in path names and for all your scripts to bork
You can finally choose a custom User Folder Name during Windows 11 setup! Microsoft has updated the Device Name page to let you choose your user folder name during setup. If this step is skipped, Windows uses the default folder name and continues setup as usual. User folder names must follow standard Windows naming requirements. Note: If you create a local account during the Windows 11 setup, this doesn't apply. Read more: alitajran.com/bypass-microso… #Microsoft #Windows

Dear New York Times games developers. If Rodolfo ever asks for tiles subject to more than one rule, throw water on the server rack
