CAS awards rarely reach civil courts for recognition under the New York Convention, given the well-developed private enforcement system within international sport (i.e Article 21 of the FIFA Disciplinary Code).
A recent example (although outside the EU & post-Seraing) comes from the 🇺🇸 District Court for the Middle District of Florida.
On 15 September 2026, the Court fully recognized and enforced CAS 2022/O/8974, rejecting objections based on US public policy & the scope of the arbitration clause.
