Collector Roshan Kumar Singh says, "Tomorrow evening at 7.00 pm on September 17, a grand festival of lights (Deepotsav) will be held along the banks of the Shipra River and throughout the Mahakal Corridor. Over 2.5 million oil lamps (diyas) will be illuminated during this grand event, showcasing a remarkable example of public participation. More than 30,000 volunteers are actively contributing to the effort. Grid markings have already been drawn along the riverbanks, the lamps have been delivered, and volunteers are placing wicks in them, creating a truly spectacular sight. Roughly 30,000 people will participate in the lamp-lighting ceremony. Following the illumination of the lamps, a major highlight will be a grand cultural evening..."

We have filed a petition in the Supreme Court asking for transparency in the Delhi SIR. The prayers-
- the list of over 33 lakh people to whom notices are being sent must be immediately placed in the public domain
- ECI must clearly specify the definition and criteria for what constitutes a “logical discrepancy”
- ensure that notices being sent to voters disclose all the relevant facts and reasons
- no voter should be deleted if they do not receive a proper notice
Out of 97.5 lakh electors who are listed on the draft Delhi SIR roll after the enumeration phase, more than 33 lakh electors are being issued notices after being identified for either having “No Mapping” (13.8 lakh) or having “Logical Discrepancies” (19.33 lakh).
ECI cannot be allowed to carry out the SIR in an opaque and arbitrary manner.

Around 15 months ago the Finance Ministry said claims that MDR would be charged on UPI were "completely false, baseless and misleading, and reaffirmed its commitment to promoting digital payments through UPI."
Today there is a U turn. From 15 October a 0.4% MDR will apply to specified person to merchant UPI transactions above Rs 2,000.
When STT was introduced, Parliament was told it was in lieu of capital gains tax on listed equities.
We now pay both STT and capital gains tax.
Dividends, once taxed at the company level, are now taxed in shareholders hands at slab rates.

Who allowed it, who banned it, and what material change occurred in those few years?
The problem is consistency and credibility. That is why so many people keep questioning official GDP growth rate to inflation numbers.
If the government had enough credibility, this level of scepticism would not exist.

A Special Investigation Team of the Bengaluru Police has busted a large-scale counterfeit medicine racket supplying fake cancer drugs and ICU injections to hospitals and clinics.
It is the duty of an elected government to ensure that counterfeit drugs, adulterated food and unsafe products are eradicated from the market to protect public health and safety.
Kudos to Shri @DKShivakumar government for proactively pursuing this racket and protecting citizens from such grave dangers.
A Special Investigation Team (SIT) of Bengaluru Police, along with the Drugs Control Department, uncovers a large-scale counterfeit medicine racket in Bengaluru, with investigators alleging that fake cancer drugs and ICU injections were supplied to hospitals and clinics at discounts of around 50 per cent across the city.
Veeresh Jain, the primary suspect who has been operating the firm for around five years now, has been arrested, while some of his aides are on the run.
Now, these are the real traitors to the nation.
