Some #GTA6 fans would give up their pets just to play one week early. A survey of more than 1,300 U.S. gamers by Unwind Media found that nearly 10% of pet-owning respondents said they would be willing to give up their pets in exchange for playing Grand Theft Auto VI seven days before everyone else. The survey also found that more than 20% would give up sex for an entire month to get early access. Among respondents who had already preordered the game, the figures were even higher: 13% said they would give up their pets, while 32% would give up sex for a month. These are hypothetical survey answers, not proof that people will actually abandon their animals. Still, the pet statistic is genuinely disturbing. A pet is a living being that depends on its owner, not something to trade for early access to a video game. #GrandTheftAutoVI #GamingNews #GeekRealmHub

Steam Support restored a player's entire game library after a deeply personal request. A Reddit user known as 3lizardintrenchcoat contacted Steam Support after deleting many purchased games they loved during episodes related to their mental health. They asked whether the titles could be restored or, at the very least, whether Steam could provide a list of the games they had previously owned. The next day, a support agent named Lucy replied with a reassuring message: Steam understood their situation and had restored the games to their library. She also offered to provide a list of the titles if needed. The player was overwhelmed by the response, saying they had never encountered a company as kind as #Steam. They also explained that they had started keeping a digital journal as a safeguard against repeating the behavior, which had previously led them to delete or destroy things they cared about. A small act of understanding from a customer support agent made a huge difference to one player. #Valve #GamingCommunity #GamingNews #GeekRealmHub

Former #Xbox COO Helen Chiang breaks her silence over her sudden departure from Microsoft. Chiang, who was promoted to Xbox's first Chief Operating Officer in July 2026, left #Microsoft just three months later after 21 years at the company. In a new LinkedIn statement titled "Clarity is Kindness," she says she has "serious concerns" about how fairness and accountability standards were applied in her case. Chiang directly addresses several rumors surrounding her exit: - She denies leaking confidential company information to the press or leaving Xbox to join a competitor. - She rejects allegations of discrimination, bullying, harassment, insider trading, embezzlement or other fraudulent activity. - She calls the report claiming she was fired for violating company policies "not accurate." However, Chiang doesn't explain what actually happened or provide specific details about the circumstances of her departure. She closes her statement with a line that leaves plenty of questions unanswered: "This is not how I ever imagined my story here would end. And it is not the whole story." The Verge reports that Microsoft did not respond to its request for comment before publication. #GamingNews #GeekRealmHub

New poisonous Terminids are invading Helldivers 2 TODAY! Arrowhead Game Studios has introduced two new enemy variants from the Noxious strain, bringing fresh threats to the fight for Super Earth: -Noxious Scavenger: A faster, fragile variant whose bites inflict poison. Shotguns, flamethrowers and grenades are recommended to take them down. - Noxious Spewer: A massive, surprisingly fast enemy that spits webs capable of preventing Helldivers from sprinting. Its unarmored abdomen is a weak spot, but destroying it triggers a Web Explosion that can trap nearby players and bugs. Poison now has its own HUD indicator, with heavier poisoning causing increased damage over time, blurred vision and loss of sprinting ability. Fortunately, Stims can cure the poison. And that's not all: Terminid cave networks can now spawn across more planetary biomes, from scorching deserts to frozen tundras. Pack your Stims, bring close-range firepower and stay with your squad. A cleaner galaxy starts with YOU, Helldiver! #Helldivers2 #Gaming #GamingNews #GeekRealmHub

AMD Fluid Motion Frames 3 has reportedly been unlocked ahead of its official release! A #Radeon enthusiast has managed to expose AMD's unreleased frame generation technology in Adrenalin Edition 26.10.2, using AI to help uncover a hidden setting in the graphics drivers. Reddit user SixPie174632251 reportedly used DeepSeek 4.1 Flash to find a Windows Registry modification that enables the AFMF 3 options without modifying the driver files. According to the user's findings, the feature works on RDNA 3 and RDNA 4 GPUs, covering the Radeon RX 7000 and RX 9000 series. The unlocked interface reportedly includes Standard and Enhanced modes. Enhanced mode can apparently work alongside technologies such as FSR, XeSS and Unreal Engine's TSR, with better image quality in initial testing, although slightly higher latency was also reported. #AMD has not officially announced AFMF 3, and no release date or supported GPU list has been confirmed. #AFMF3 #PCGaming #GeekRealmHub

France approves a new tax on internet traffic, charging digital content providers per gigabyte! France's National Assembly has adopted amendment I-1358 to the 2027 Finance Bill, proposing a €0.055 tax for every gigabyte of data delivered to users in the country. The measure would target digital content providers, with internet service providers responsible for measuring and reporting the traffic. That could affect major services such as Netflix, YouTube, Steam, cloud platforms and other data-heavy services. The amendment also includes a revenue-based cap, but companies could potentially pass some of the added cost on to consumers through higher subscription prices or other changes. And the vote was remarkably close: 11 in favor and 10 against. That's just 21 votes cast in a 577-seat National Assembly. The claim that all the other 556 deputies were absent, however, isn't established by that number alone. #DigitalTax #GamingNews #TechNews #GeekRealmHub
