I made a clip where I talked at length about how a lot of people missed a very important point over the Jacksepticeye thing. I don't know if it's simply because they just never thought about it or they REFUSE to think about it.
My point is simple: Its not about Jack or Charlie Kirk specifically. They are the illustration, symptoms of a growing problem.
Its not about left or right, any single political pundit, public speaker or internet personality. The problem is something deeper, and more pressing.
When you dismiss the very real concerns of people losing their lives over speech - that dismissal or trivialisation is how you have things escalating to uncontrollable levels in the future...if it hasn't already.
When this problem gets, and it WILL worse if people still downplay, justify or sweep it under the rug - Some of you will end up asking HOW it got so bad, even though we have early warnings.
When it gets bad - it then starts creating more victims, then another, then another...because someone somewhere will always hate someone else's opinion and eventually the social cost of acting on that hate becomes too low or diluted.
Where does it stop then? Can you even stop it?
Evidently to some they never thought about that. I watched a short snippet from this Vtuber who talked about it, and her take on this, creates worry in me.
I am not expecting people to understand what I am worried about instantly, but I hope many will at least take the time to take what i said into consideration and try to understand it.

Sometimes I really want the perfect excuse to just not lose my temper, but it looks like that is a luxury I rarely get to have.
What disappoints me even more is that its over Ironmouse, someone I actually do enjoy watching off and on and I unironically want to watch her keep succeeding all these years.
This entire Ai situation with her and the replies to this post has shown me that for many:
Words are cheap, cheaper than dirt
They don't believe in what they say, they bend at the slightest sign of convenience or self-enrichment. Words are just a means for them to gain clout, words they so readily to discard when it suits them.
Seeing all these ardent Anti-Ai make post after post vowing they will NEVER have anything to do with anyone who supports it, uses it, or works with it...only to pretend they never said it when it is someone big like Ironmouse making the request.
Its disappointing.
Principles are never meant to be easy. Everyone falls short once in awhile but they see it as the mistake they are and be better going forward. They do not just ABANDON them at the first sign of convenience and sweep it under the rug or pretend they never took that stance.
Either you take that firm stance against gen Ai and live by it, or just not say anything.

Firstly, funny how people who have spent years getting offended over jokes suddenly use other people's views against them like a flimsy shield to dodge accountability, like cowards.
Secondly, you'd have to be extremely disingenuous or poorly pretending to be "impartial" to believe this is all over a "joke".
I think the problem many have, not just right-wingers but even just moderates:
Is the fact that people have trivialised and even cheered for people getting violently killed over speech, all because they didn't like what he or she said. That was exactly what happened to Kirk.
These "jokes" aren't really even jokes from the start too, as many just throw around "get Kirked" threats on social media nowadays, and mean it.
If you tolerate and excuse this, what's stopping from someone hating your opinions and they wanting you to "suffer the same fate as him"? What makes you so sure that its just going to stop at Charlie Kirk's specific opinions?
