Sad news from #Taita #Wildfires, maybe set up by purpose, destroy vegetation & #wildlife making Tsavo even more #arid. Air pollution & increased human-wildlife conflicts. @helsinkiuni soil respiration @VaisalaGroup & soil temperature study sites burnt at @TaitaSanctuary. So sad.

Actually there are also indications and firm results that UFP concentrations are increasing when PM10 goes down. Particularly this is true in number point of view. @INAR_fin @GlobalSMEAR

"There is some tentative evidence that mitigating particle mass (PM10, PM2.5) from combustion sources could lead to a reduction in UFP. There have been suggestions for mitigation of black carbon in the future, but this would not remove all UFP, in particular, the organic ones."
