5.9M S burned! 🔥
As previously communicated, unclaimed tokens from the Sonic airdrop were scheduled to be burned.
On October 15, the burn was triggered permissionlessly onchain, permanently removing 5.9M S from circulation.

1. sonic-3:native has already put a stop to manual minting, and an independent audit is expected in the coming weeks. This will significantly improve transparency, and tokens that should never have existed will be burned.
2. @SonicLabs has world-class L1 technology and is positioned to become the foundation for a wide range of protocols in the future. Its revenue strategy is also taking shape, with OKRs established across four key areas: RWA, stablecoins and payments, prediction markets, and AI.
3. Going forward, progress will be reported quarterly. In just two months, we'll get to see the Q4 report for this year.
4. Buybacks, burns, and tokenomics are the strongest narrative of this cycle. Sonic has survived three bull-bear cycles, and I'm confident it will still be here in the years to come.

@MattVisser of @SonicLabs on Crypto Insider with @cryptomanran says he’s steering clear of the hype. An agent is emotionless. It looks for the cheapest place to settle. 90% of AI traffic is already going through USDC because it’s easy.
When you let the machines pick, he says that’s Sonic by default. They’re putting an MCP server into the clients and adding native support so agents can onboard without friction.

I've already reached out to @mr_pschmitt directly, we connected privately before any of the recent threads (he can confirm).
Mending bridges is often best done privately first, so that a public conversation can be productive rather than performative.
That said, I appreciate the intention behind setting up a public discussion and we will get there. I'd simply like to start with a private conversation between us in the coming week, then be given the chance to focus on the upcoming builders' AMA, with broader public AMAs to follow shortly after.
One thing I want to add as well: the emotion in the recent threads is real and the damage people have suffered is real. I don't dismiss any of it. But the way forward is work, not argument. We shouldn't attack critics or waste energy defending ourselves. We'll deliver and the results will speak.
