Have the gumption to actually pad up and then maybe weβll talk. Otherwise youβre just a poor manβs version of The Governor.

The word of the day is the Greek word amathia:
Amathia by definition, refers to a willful refusal to learn, understand, or pursue the truth. It is often translated into English as "willful ignorance" or "intelligent stupidity."
It is the opposite of philotimo (love of honor/virtue) or philosophia (the love and pursuit of wisdom/truth).
Socrates considered Amathia the root of evil acts in people. Epictetus described Amathia as anti-wisdom. A spiritual illness that afflicts those that could know and should know better. Worse than ignorance, Amathia is choosing not to know, the worst type of stupidity.
This word highlights just how dangerous the ancient Greeks considered amathia to be. To them, refusing the truth wasn't just a personal flaw; it was a rejection of virtue and civic duty.

Itβs not a coincidence that funding is being pulled from schools and youβre being spoon-fed ai as your source of critical thinking at the same time youβre all coming to Christian nationalist conclusions about women and sex and agency.

My hot take of the day is that young girls and women are being redpilled via trad, anti-choice, anti-contraceptive, anti-sexual lib content repackaged as feminism and that itβs happening because theyβre functionally illiterate

Our employees have been begging us to try a four-day workweek.
I'm open-minded, so we ran a pilot.
Monday through Thursday.
Same salary.
Same workload.
Productivity actually increased.
People were happier.
Turnover dropped.
It was one of the most successful HR experiments we've ever conducted.
So naturally we ended it.
If they can get five days of work done in four days, imagine how much they can get done in five.
