🇻🇪 Venezuelan acting President Delcy Rodríguez said the government will offer "non-essential" state assets to private investors or return them to their former owners, reversing nationalizations carried out under Hugo Chávez.
The process "is already well advanced," Rodríguez said in a televised address Thursday, without naming which assets. A commission she appointed in April is auditing state holdings in energy, power and mining. Parliament is close to partially privatizing the electricity sector, foreign firms are in talks to buy the country's largest aluminum smelter, and an oil consortium is seeking several industrial plants, Venezuelanalysis reported.

EVERYONE needs to watch this documentary "The Trap" about the Israeli terror attack on Lebanon in which the Zionist state weaponized civilian communication devices to conduct a mass terror strike inside a sovereign nation.
For his tireless 2-year investigation of the event, filmmaker and veteran security journalist @radwanmortada
had his family home blown up by occupation forces, and his devices infiltrated. Double down, Radwan - we're all with you ❤️ aljazeera360.com/video/10423…

This is how those who facilitate genocide should be met wherever they go and for the rest of their days on this planet. Genocide must be denormalized and its agents called to account. It is bad enough that the UNGA tried to wash the bloody resume of Baerbock. Why was Uppsala University doing the same? #Shame
Activists confronted former German foreign minister Annalena Baerbock at Sweden’s Uppsala University on Monday, accusing her of complicity in Israel’s genocide in Gaza.
Baerbock was delivering the Dag Hammarskjöld Lecture, jointly hosted by the university and the Dag Hammarskjöld Foundation. Protesters challenged her remarks defending attacks on civilian infrastructure and Germany’s military support for Israel.
In October 2024, Baerbock argued that civilian sites could lose their protected status if abused by Hamas. Germany approved €485.1m—about $554m—in arms exports to Israel between October 2023, and May 2025.

Barbados welcomes the UK Prime Minister’s acknowledgement of the brutality of the transatlantic slave trade, his openness to a formal apology and his offer of structured dialogue.
We will engage in good faith as a member of CARICOM, while speaking plainly and respectfully about our differences on reparations. Those differences should not prevent progress on health, education, tackling poverty and inequality, and fairer debt terms for vulnerable states.
The CARICOM Ten Point Plan remains our guide as we build on common ground and continue the pursuit of reparatory justice. We cannot reach our destination if we do not start the journey.

🗺️🇵🇸 Dockworkers at more than 110 ports across 22 countries on five continents are striking on Friday, under the slogan “Dockworkers do not work for war,” demanding an end to Israel’s genocide in Gaza and U.S.-Israeli military attacks on Iran and expressing solidarity with Cuba, Venezuela, and Sudan.
◦ More than 25 trade unions are participating, with 24-hour strikes called in Italy, France, Greece, Turkey, and India, alongside shorter walkouts elsewhere.
◦ The campaign group No Harbour for Genocide estimates that more than $2 billion worth of cargo could be left idle, with participating ports handling 13.5% of global shipping.
◦ The group said it tracked 315 shipments of components for Israeli arms manufacturer Elbit Systems through 56 commercial ports between August 2025 and September 2026, all of which are expected to participate in Friday’s action.
◦The Palestinian labor movement endorsed the strike, urging unions to intensify boycott and divestment efforts against Israel.
