I've finally put pen to paper about the Mets' offseason. My first article in four years. I hope that you'll take a few minutes to read it over on @GoodFundies on Medium, which still exists. Happy to discuss. goodfundies.com/the-mets-ter…

The Mets’ Terrible 2026 Offseason Should Put David Stearns on the Hot Seat

The Mets just completed what I can only describe as “the weirdest offseason in thirty years.” As fans we’ve lived through a lot of strange…

The “Remembering Some Guys” Super Bowl. There would be so many 1995-1997 MLB journeymen on my list.

if they put you in a room by yourself with a pen and paper do you think you could write down the names of 3,000 real people? (alive or dead)

Wade Davis you bastard. You were so insanely good for a three year stretch just in time to ruin our lives.

I am begging you to simply ignore anyone who claims the Brewers aren't an analytical organization. Either it's a joke (ok, well played) or they are a fool not worth engaging with. It's ok to just ignore things!

Not to sound too much like Mac from It's Always Sunny, but these men's physiques are incredible.

Watching this play for the first time in ten years, viewing it with a totally fresh perspective--- that throw was perfectly on line. Did Jeter actually get it to the plate faster?

25 years ago today Derek Jeter made a heck of a heads-up play Some say it’s overrated. I disagree Some say he was safe. I also disagree Thoughts on the play?

I understand the people who think that the ball would not have made it in time without Jeter's flip-- but if you're saying the throw was offline you're lying and undermining your credibility. The throw was perfect. I'm not convinced Jeter sped it up.

I'm on a great run lately where half of the replies to my tweets agree with me and the other half tell me I'm an idiot and nobody in the world thinks this. It's all happening on X, the everything site.

I have no idea why 30 people have replied to me to tell me that the game was tied when the error happened, as if the Mets were a lock to win in extras. You understand the tweet!!

It was David Wright's fault just as much as it was Luca Duda's fault. Wright came too far off the bag to field the ball, which let Hosmer break home.

The three-batter minimum is one of the best things to ever happen to baseball. No-brainer.
Gravel@Gravel_senseOct 12
so this clip features five different pitchers pitching to the first six hitters in the ninth what the actual fuck was this era of baseball.

Crazy to think that the Mets are just one error away from not having won a World Series in 57 years.

On the rare occasion the Mets make the playoffs, they really do make the most of it. 6th most CS appearances in the NL.

When this ball went over the wall, I said out loud "I cannot believe he just inside-outed that ball over the wall opposite field" and I'm blown away how rare of a swing this was.
Jake Mintz
@Jake_MintzOct 12
This is such an impressive, legitimately rare swing. Just the 3rd left-on-left opposite field HR on an inner third fastball in all of MLB this season. The other two were Ohtani.

This is a very cool observation from this guy. The little things matter.
Victor@HalToHellOct 12
Check out the Yankees bunt defense compared to the Dodgers. Jazz Chisholm and Kiké Hernandez start in the exact same spot. Yet when Kiké spots the bunt, he sprints to first to get the out while Jazz just wanders around aimlessly and the runner reaches. Losing on the margins.

Almost all the Brewers are 28 or younger
Jon Morosi
@jonmorosiOct 11
The NLCS Game 1 starting lineups combine for 10 players who are 28 and younger. Nine of the 10 are on the Milwaukee side. Andy Pages, 25, is the only Dodgers starter younger than 29. @MLBNetwork
