Great kickoff to the Deep South Turf Expo at the golf tournament at The Preserve in Van Cleave, MS. It was a preview for the 2027 GCSAA Golf Championship. Full field and tailgate afterwards. Next 2 days will be loaded with education and trade show at the Beau Rivage in Biloxi.

We're now accepting applications for our Grady Strong Scholarship supported by our friends at @HarrellsLLC.
If you're a turf student who aspires to become a superintendent and have overcome the odds along the way, this scholarship is for you!

Always a legend in my book. I worked on the turf crew at C-F Stadium @StateCoachD first season in Raleigh. Later he played the coaches classic @PebbleBeachGolf and I was fortunate to get this picture at Spanish Bay.
Thank you, coach. Class act, all the way around. Go Pack.
This has been my pinned tweet for 8 years plus. Slugger has been my side kick since Labor Day 2015. Worked at Desert Mountain, University of Texas, & Pebble Beach with me…my big boy is starting his next chapter checking bunker depths with the big man up top.
Heart is broken.

I’m curious how superintendents are (or aren’t) using AI to improve their workflow. I’m not sure I’ve ever had zero emails in my inbox but that’s where I am thanks to AI. Daily updates of my email and calendar. Automation of projects. It’s pretty unreal.
How are you using it?

We're looking forward to the Deep South Turf Expo October 27 to 29. If you'll be in Biloxi, be sure to visit us at the tailgate celebration to see the AMP-L100 robotic fairway mower up-close, and come see us at Booth #80. Come find out if autonomous reel mowing is a good fit for your organization. @DeepSouthTurf

Louisiana is our 33rd state. Two AMP-L100 autonomous fairway mowers are now operating at Querbes Park Golf Course and The Club at Huntington Park for the City of Shreveport, the first courses in the state to mow fairways with AMP. #FireFlyRobotics #AMPL100 #GolfCourseMaintenance

Pretty incredible impacts of the timing of autonomous mowing on dollar spot development. On the peak disease date of Aug 12, 2026 there was a 96% reduction in DS when mowed at midnight compared to 9 AM and a 91% reduction when mowed at 3 AM. The pics below tell the story

Seeing fairways on television this weekend with perfect diamonds? Laser-straight lines on a side hills and slopes are our specialty, thanks to FireFly’s patented 4WD and steering. With no engine in the way, the robot can have a low center of gravity to hug those hills.

Honored to demo the FireFly AMP-L100 in Tiger Town yesterday at @ClemsonUniv Turfgrass Field Day. Thanks to Dr. Joe Roberts for the invite! Autonomous mowing elevates cut quality and plant health while helping crews get more done. 🐾 #Turfgrass #RobotMower

Congrats @AugustRocco!
Today is opening day for the 18-hole championship course and 9-hole short course at Firefly 30 minutes south of Nashville, Tenn. Designed by @GreenGCA, the courses are the architect’s first original designs of his career.
The wider golf campus includes a practice range, three short-game greens, an 18,000-square-foot putting green, and a teaching facility featuring Trackman technology, two indoor/outdoor hitting bays, and a SAM putting lab.

A multi-university study (Penn State, Purdue, Ohio State, Michigan State, UMass, and VT) investigating the effect of dew removal via autonomous mowing on dollar spot is demonstrating promising results for fungicide budgeting. I believe these photos speak for themselves!
