Although there is a gagging order in England and Wales, there is no such order in Scotland….. this celebrity was outed on X yesterday by a journalist working in Scotland.
🚨WATCH! Andrew Neil has just delivered one of the strongest, most necessary interventions of the week on this absurd “mystery celebrity” high court injunction. He is completely right, and anyone in a position of power should be paying attention.
He is clear-eyed about the ruling itself: “I’m delighted he’s ruled that way. I’m not so delighted he’s kicked it into the long grass and we still can’t name this person.”
Then he gets to the heart of it: “It really is ridiculous to stop legitimate newspapers and broadcasters who’ve done a legitimate investigation into somebody’s behaviour which seems unsavoury to put it mildly, not to be able to publish because that person says he’s gonna kill himself. You might as well shut down the British media if that’s the case.”
This is exactly the point. We indulge this sort of nonsense far too often in Britain. A celebrity with the means to hire expensive lawyers should not be able to muzzle legitimate reporting of serious allegations simply by invoking mental health or the threat of self-harm. Money must not be allowed to buy silence, and threats of this kind must not become a reliable tool for suppressing scrutiny.
@afneil is equally sharp on the contrast with America. Speaking from the US, he notes that a case like this would never have seen the inside of a courtroom. The First Amendment would have stopped it dead. As he puts it, we need to stop allowing our media to be “cribbed and confined and intimidated by people who are trying to hide their own wrongdoing by muzzling the media”.
The whole situation is made even more ridiculous by the fact that everyone already knows who it is. The name has circulated freely in Scotland because the ruling does not apply there. Yet the English media remain gagged from publishing their own investigation and the allegations themselves. It is a farce.
We need to get much tougher on this. The more the courts entertain these applications, the more people will keep using them to bury inconvenient truths. Let the press do their jobs.

🚨 Arteta “Yes, he ( Saliba ) is in a really good place. He played 45 mins behind closed doors. He is ready. He feels desperate and loved. He is admired by everyone. We will give him the right amount of minutes”
Lisandro Martinez has been like this for united since day one. Rash and hides behind being a fake hard man
Their glazing of Mainoo is beyond belief. He doesn’t get anywhere near a TOP team.
What should happen to this team imo:
Lammens - not coached well and atm not enough qualities to be a Utd GK
Heaton - fine.
Dalot - on his day solid, most the time frustrating- squad player but if he leaves idc
Mazraoui - crap and not worth keeping
Shaw - should be his last season, great servant but no more
Amass - probably gone, clearly not rated
Dorgu - not great but still young, loan him out
Maguire - should be 4/5th choice by now, great leader, still great qualities but others should be there
Martinez - fuck off
Yoro - getting there just needs to calm tf down
Heaven - raw but has good qualities, not ready yet
De Ligt - garbage and never fit goodbye
Baleba - not had much time to get into it, good qualities but has to be better on the ball
Santos - growing into it, good squad player
Mainoo - build team around him
Tielemans - a squad player and that’s it, how Eriksen should have been used is how we should use him
Mount - too many chances, bye
Fernandes - still our best player but has to be utilised right or not at all given his age
Cunha - great for Amorim hero ball but not what we need and should leave or be a squad player
Rashford - our best forward by some margin
Amad - squad player at most and his decision making is still woeful
Mbeumo - I really like him but frustrated the hell out of me
Lacey - top talent and should get more minutes
Zirkzee - great qualities and could be a CAM cover but that guy isn’t a striker by any means
Sesko - love him but has to stay fit and start imposing himself and be a nuisance
All credibility in the bin with this take.
Ask yourself why he’s always in the B level European competition!! He’s Spanish and not had a sniff at Barca or Madrid!! Stop with this nonsense of “best in the prem” he’s not.
Unai Emery has had 17 consecutive years competing in Europe. Five Europa League titles. No manager - no manager - has better pedigree in the Premier League. He is someone who will maximise players’ talents if they are willing to give themselves to him.
There is a reason the club have long pined for Emery to create a dynasty, beyond his existing terms — which run until 2029. He is the best coach Villa could possibly wish for, and the best in the Premier League.

Re Emery - Arsene spent a whole decade keeping Arsenal competitive on a (relative) shoestring whilst constantly having his team picked apart by wealthy rivals. Don't remember anyone saying he was the best manager in the league back then...
Then you will be backing him for the United job I assume??
Unai Emery is the Premier League's best coach.

Arsenal fans, you have a chance to sit down and let Enzo Maresca school you on how to beat PSG so you don't repeat the same mistakes next time.
