🚨Across roughly 1,300 years of the Muslim-Arab slave trade, an estimated one million Greek Christians were sold into slavery. Attractive Greek girls were commonly forced into prostitution once they were enslaved by Turks, who then took all of the money they earned. Female captives were routinely subjected to sexual exploitation. After the Chios Massacre of 30 March 1822, in which Ottoman forces killed 42,000 Christian Greeks, another 52,000 women and children were put up for sale in the slave markets of Smyrna and Constantinople. On 1 September 1821 the island of Samothrace was devastated by an Ottoman massacre. Roughly 10,000 men and boys were killed; the women and children were sold in the markets of Constantinople and Smyrna. Only those who converted to Islam were spared. On 14 July 1821, 486 Greeks on Cyprus were publicly beheaded for refusing to convert to Islam. Between 13 and 22 September 1922, during the burning of Smyrna, thousands of Greek and Armenian women were mass-raped and killed by Turkish forces driven by ethnic and religious hostility. Survival often depended on conversion to Islam. The campaign targeted the Christian population of Anatolia in an effort to erase the Greek presence there. On the nights of 6–7 September 1955, during the Istanbul pogroms, Turkish mobs raped members of the city’s Greek community. Hundreds of women were assaulted and driven out. Today fewer than 2,000 Greeks remain in the city their ancestors founded. In 1974, after the Turkish invasion of Cyprus, thousands of Greek women between the ages of 12 and 71 were raped. The Church of Cyprus later accepted a change in the law that legalized the abortions that resulted from those assaults. Islamic teaching explicitly permitted sexual relations with female captives. Quran 23:6 states that men may have intercourse with “those whom their right hands possess” (i.e., female slaves) as well as with their wives, declaring that there is no blame in either case. The historical record shows that Islam has repeatedly treated non-Muslim women as legitimate targets of sexual violence and enslavement. Anyone who knowingly supports the demographic replacement of native European populations by Islamic migration is betraying both their own people and the generations who suffered under the same system.
