China has approved the formal operation of its southern regional power market as it expands electricity trading and integrates more renewable generation. The market has shortened electricity transaction settlement periods to 15 minutes to accommodate fluctuations in wind and solar output, as China works toward a unified national power trading platform by 2030.

The OBR budget papers say that removing CfD costs from bills will cost £0.4bn in 2026-27. In the background information we find this spreadsheet.
So it looks as if they are removing 480/(480+1465)=25% of CfD costs onto general taxation.

The GB grid is currently undergoing investment & expansion to meet increasing demand & transmit electricity from cleaner & cheaper sources

Bloomberg: Saudi Arabia contained a fire near its biggest oil export terminal at Ras Tanura on the Persian Gulf following an attack in the region, a person with knowledge of the matter said. The blaze occurred during the early hours of Tuesday near facilities operated by state producer Saudi Aramco, the person said, asking not to be identified because the matter is private. The extent of the damage wasn’t immediately clear.
