Ghost of Yotei's budget is $60 million. You wrote this long ass post and didn't even recognize that the devs who make Sly already make games with very reasonable and profitable AAA budgets.
Games don’t all need to be massive blockbusters. You don’t need to spend $200-$400 million on a single game
The Blood of Dawnwalker was $40 million
Silent Hill Townfall rumored around $23 million
Resident Evil Requiem and Control Resonant rumored around $60 million
So how is Wolverine at $300 million. Gears of War E-Day at $400 million. Halo Infinite around $500 million
Take those budgets, and just cut them around. I’m sure you could make another sly cooper for like…$20 million. Sly 4 was rumored around $9 million. You can take these studios and have parts make smaller budget games and if actually good they will sell

Naoki Hamaguchi says FF7 Revelation will have an option at a certain point in the game to automatically raise your characters level to to recommended level to progress for those that only want to play the main story.
He says he got a lot of feedback from players only wanting to play the main story in Rebirth and skip the side content, that they were under leveled and struggled.
He says he wants players who want to skip the open-world experience to have a similar linear story driven experience to FF7 Remake so they will include an option that pops up at a certain point asking "Do you want to automatically raise the level to the recommended level?"
He says players that don't want to explore the open world and just want to play the main story can select the option to automatically adjust the level.
