.@Verizon -- your most recent "upgrade" of the Fios channel guide, rewind/fast-forward and channel change (why show "tuning to 509"? I know which channel I selected) are terrible and worse than before. It wasn't broke. Why did you try to fix it?

Fox needs to be a lot better on camera angles and showing triples and runners coming home with throws to the plate. They aren't doing these plays justice.

Pat Murphy has a classic all-time baseball face. He looks like he could be managing the Cardinals in the 1920s or 30s. He might have been an extra in The Natural.

I get why Villanova is leaving the Big 5. It doesn't mean I like it. Such is the nature of modern college basketball economics. And it's doubly painful since its a redo of Villanova's departure 30 years ago. buff.ly/EVsatb7
Big 5 men’s basketball schools to move forward with round-robin format without Villanova in 2027-28

Big 5 men’s basketball schools to move forward with round-robin format without Villanova in 2027-28

It's possible that a one-day Big 5 Classic tripleheader lives on. But with the current format nearing the end of its contract, Villanova was not interested in keeping with the status quo.

BREAKING: The PA House and Senate just officially passed a bell-to-bell ban to get cell phones out of our classrooms. I called for this in my Budget Address and repeatedly urged the legislature to act — and now, we've brought Democrats and Republicans together to get this done for our students and our educators. It's time to get back to the basics in school and let our kids be kids.
