Phantom Blade Zero Impressions: POSITIVES: + Soul is a stud, dope ass design easy MC to get behind +Combat feels great + A ton of settings, being able to change how loud the parry is, turn off health bars and button prompts. Just a lot of things I really look for in a settings menu + Visuals are great + Loving the story, Chinese lore is so fucking dope, all the little notes have been great to read + Difficulty so far has been great have banged my head up against the wall with quite a few bosses +One of my favorite maps already, I love the style of it + Animated cutscenes are amazing +OST is phenomenal Negatives: - I thought I wouldn’t care about enemies respawning but there’s been a few times I’ve been pretty sad I couldn’t fight a group of enemies anymore and it removes some of the tension of exploration -Unreal Engine, ton of pop in, have fallen through some terrain that should be walkable only to fall to my death, performance during the fight in this video felt super sluggish -Movement is a bit stiff -Traversal being just one button where it does it all for you is a let down, makes it feel dramatically less cool.
