Investors who think the #inflation threat is over now that the #Fed is on the job are wrong. #Powell is only bluffing about fighting inflation, just like he bluffed that it was transitory. If the Fed could actually win a fight against inflation it would have picked one last year!

#Powell claimed that the current level of debt is sustainable. It's only "sustainable" because the #Fed is keeping interest rates so low. If the Fed raised rates high enough to fight #inflation, the debt would be unsustainable. Powell knows this, so inflation will get much worse!

#Powell admitted that the U.S. is on an unsustainable fiscal path, but claimed the current level of the debt is sustainable. First, Powell failed to acknowledge the #Fed's role in putting the U.S. on that path. Second, he also thought #inflation was transitory. He's wrong again!

#Powell claims that the #Fed is counting on increased supply to do the heavy lifting on bringing the #inflation rate down. That's why the projected rate hikes are so small. But he claimed that if inflation stays high the Fed will raise rates much higher than its current forecast!

Reading between the lines I would guess Paul Tudor Jones has already sold his #Bitcoin. It looks like the "fastest horse in the race" has been sent to the glue factory. Jones was the first institutional investor to get into Bitcoin and he may have been the first to get out!
"Clearly all the #inflation trades of the pandemic era are going to be challenged right now," says @ptj_official on #crypto #bitcoin. "The things that performed the best since March of 2020 are going to probably perform the worst as we go through this tightening cycle."

It looks like @GoldmanSachs wants to sell #Bitcoin, which is why they're calling for it to hit $100K. The investment bank is notorious for trading against its public forecasts. Since they're also talking down #gold, they likely intend to buy gold with their Bitcoin sale proceeds!
