📍 Holly Springs High School. Year 2 for Coach Rhodes as the Golden Hawks are coming off a disappointing year but are set to return 6 of their top 8 headlined by one of the best shooters in the state, JP Portland.

Extremely proud of our guys for bringing home the @RiseCircuit 16u championship against a talented and well coached Hoop Habits team! We finish our season with a 25-6 record.
Tough group of kids who love being around each other and who hold themselves to a high standard!!!

Pitched a complete game, attacking the zone with all pitches. Also felt very confident with a great defense behind me.

JP is the best shooter in NC’s 2028 class. Shooting 45% from 3 between @SW15H_Elite and @HSHSMBB this summer on over 8 attempts/game. Has grown 4 inches in the last year.
Shooting and physical upside mixed with an insane work ethic. Will be a hot commodity when the time comes.

JP’s shooting well over 40% over his last 3 months of basketball on ridiculous volume. His competitiveness, work ethic, and toughness combined with his skillset will make him a highly valuable recruit for college coaches when the time comes.
6’2 2028 JP Portland (Holly Springs) finished with 26 points, connecting on 8 3s. Knock down shooter with a smooth release. Can’t be left open. Automatic with time & space. @HSHSMBB #PhenomTeamCamp

Maybe the best shooter in the gym today, 2028 JP Portland (Holly Springs) was putting on a clinic from behind the arc. Finishing with 26 points on 8 3-pointers, Portland shoots the ball with the utmost confidence. #PhenomTeamCamp
