You would have thought there was someone in government to appreciate the irony of effectively censoring someone who wanted to come here to discuss censorship. Home Office policy making has degenerated into dangerous farce. theguardian.com/uk-news/2026…

Andy Burnham’s arrival has meant that Labour is open again to debate and discuss the Party’s policy direction. Join us at this meeting to discuss the London we want Labour to create. @JumboChan
Our Prime Minister's vision of ending 40 years of neo-liberalism — through public ownership, mass insourcing and decentralisation — is popular amongst the vast majority of good, decent Labour members and the British public. However, there is much to do to turn this into reality.

The second International Day of Action of Dockworkers, in solidarity with Palestine and against militarism, begins this Friday — and could be the largest worker action against war in history. jacobin.com/2026/10/dockwork…

Botamos pra virar, Brasil! 💫

We spent a week in the Occupied West Bank: We saw bloody settler attacks, Palestinian homes demolished & tense interactions with Israeli soldiers Here's a short clip ⬇️ Including our attempt to reach a Palestinian family besieged by "hilltop youth" settlers - before we were violently stopped With @MillyTeasdale @MackesonPaul Ayman Abu Ramouz & Nava Mizrahi

Protest at Downing St, Monday 26th at 6pm.
The blockade of the West Bank, the siege of Hebron, the expulsion of thousands from their homes there, & the demolition of buildings & houses are not only to serve Netanyahu’s fascist elections campaign, they’re primarily to implement his longstanding strategy of the ethnic cleansing and annexation of the West Bank. Israel’s criminality & cruelty know no bounds.

New figures show 17.6m of us can't reliably afford food, including 4.6m children.    That's 3.5m more people than in 2024.   That could be your neighbour, your colleague, or the parent you wave to at pick-up.   Sign our petition for a Right to Food in law  👉 amnesty.org.uk/get-involved/… @TrussellUK
A fantastic launch of the #RightToFoodCommission in Parliament, bringing together commissioners, parliamentarians, trade unions, campaigners and the communities at the heart of this fight. It has been one of the honours of my life to listen to communities across the country and work alongside people determined to end the scourge of hunger. In one of the richest countries in the world, nobody should be worried about where their next meal is coming from. Now we need Government action. A Right to Food enshrined in law, ensuring everyone can access affordable, nutritious food with dignity. Our communities cannot carry on paying the price for political decisions that drive poverty and food insecurity. Hunger is a political choice. Together, we must demand a different future. #RightToFood #HungerIsAPoliticalChoice

Really good response from @MOPSCampaign keeping up the pressure on Hackney Council about the future of the Tesco site in Morning lane. This issue is so important to local people. They want council housing & big supermarkets that sell what they want at prices they can afford.
Our response to Hackney's Local Plan consultation We need council housing not private housing We need big supermarkets We need spaces where everyone feels they belong We need consultations that are a genuine dialogue between residents and the council morninglanepeoplesspace.org/…
