Here's another one from this year! Jazz just has no idea what to do on these plays. Incredible.

Check out the Yankees bunt defense compared to the Dodgers. Jazz Chisholm and Kiké Hernandez start in the exact same spot. Yet when Kiké spots the bunt, he sprints to first to get the out while Jazz just wanders around aimlessly and the runner reaches. Losing on the margins.

Willson Contreras had basically the exact same batted ball earlier this year with a 7 mph lower bat speed.

Grisham and Jazz will go on podcasts in 2031 to say that the reason the Yankees didn't win was because their org was flawed

I can't speak for him but I think he was more comfortable pronating than supinating last night, which makes the lack of changeup usage perplexing. FF, SI, CH combined for a 36% CSW rate SW, FC, CU combined for 23% CSW rate The cutter command especially was shockingly bad

I agree that his command last night wasnt great but he was a Vilade porch job and a bad sweeper to Mesa away from 6 IP 1 R. Among the 25 starters with 30+ playoff IP since 2020, he's middle of the pack in xFIP (ahead of Cole!). It's still not a large enough sample for me.
