Arjun Nimmala (Angels top prospect) had 9 HR in the last 14 games at AA. 15 of his last 17 hits have been for extra bases in that span, and he’s had an XBH in nine straight games.
Nimmala and the Trash Panda’s can win the Southern League championship tonight with a win over Biloxi.
As for some context on that…. Biloxi is Milwaukee’s AA affiliate. The Brewers farm is widely regarded as the best in MLB and most teams best prospect talent is in AA.
Biloxi has three Top 100 prospects, two are in the top 20 and Jesus Made is the #1 prospect in MLB.
The idea of the Angels AA team beating the Brewers AA for a league title would’ve been laughable a few months ago.
Right now Rocket City leads the best of 3, 1-0. Series far from over, but what a remarkable turnaround and reflection of the improvement within the organization.

Jake Munroe made a swing iteration and saw his entire game make leaps and bounds as he not only became their best development story but also the most productive player in the Angels farm system... and... Baseball America's Angels Player of the Year

Zach Neto has hit the 5 bWAR mark for the third consecutive season.
He's the third Angel to have three or more 5+bWAR seasons before turning 26 (Trout 6x and Fregosi 4x).
Here's every shortstop in MLB history to do it three or more times before turning 26:

In this story, a quote that confirms what you probably suspected about the Angels GM job. (The whole story is worth a read.)
I asked 24 MLB execs who they’d call if they had to find a head of baseball ops tomorrow. The answers are vast, I learned a lot!
“It’s more fun being on this side of it.”
NEW for @YahooSports on what goes into hiring cycles and how execs see their peers.

He has NINE dingers in 13 games this month 👀

Stan Kroenke agreeing to acquire Arte Moreno’s Los Angeles Angels at a record $4 billion valuation shocked baseball, both due to the size of the transaction, and because both parties managed to pull off the agreement undetected.
It turns out Moreno, widely considered one of the worst owners in baseball, was perfectly set up to keep such a secret.
