Just popped into George’s Market Belfast, bustling with independent traders from £20 lobster to £2 baps, a market for all.
A real mix of stalls from food to crafts and a sense of the city.
Meanwhile in Dublin the Iveagh & Fruit markets both closed, one in ruin…one on the way…

There are now zero vacancies at An Bord Pleanála.
The first BusConnects planning application has been with them for 16 months. An application to close seven level crossings on the Dublin-Cork line has been with them for 27 months.
The staffing situation at An Bord Pleanála is a huge bottle neck right now. They're just not equipped to deal with MetroLink, BusConnects, DART+, housing projects etc. Everything is delayed but they only have one job advertised. What is going on,@DarraghOBrienTD?

First, it's a terrible photo of the wildflower meadow. The trimmed verges aren't shown, the flowers have gone to seed and are bent from a month of rain and wind.

I understand that farmers have concerns about changes to land management & the uncertainty, but it's really alarming to hear that @icmsa farming reps will not accept that nature is in decline, and try instead to blame declines on mink.
